For those who didn't get it.
When I (and most people) say Deadly Premonition is very Twin Peaks-y, it is quite literal.
Here's an awesome typical scene from the game.
For those who can sit through all of this jump to this scene directly!
I miss you, York!
Almost makes me wanna replay it all over again (which is rather unusual for me, when it involves an open world sandbox-type game...)

Drawing - "Maximum Carnage" Irwin Schwab
Today's daily sketch!
In a smart tie-in move to coincide with Marvel's epic "Carnage USA" event, our subject was supposed to be a "Maximum Carnage"-ified character.
Guess who I used?!?

AwesomeScenes from Twin Peaks - A damn good coffee
I love(d) Twin Peaks, I really do.
Even if I discovered it quite late.
It launched a whole genre of crazy drama-thrillers-fantasy shows without which we wouldn't have gotten other drama/mystery/character-driven shows like Lost, Fringe and many more these recent years!
This, below, is easily the most memorable and my all-time favorite scene from the entire show.
The quiet before the storm of things to come later on the show. And it so easily distinguishes Cooper from your usual other main characters.
He was a damn fine character...

"Best of Times" - The Best of Nicolas Cage
My pal Clayman suggested I post this awesome video featuring none other that good ol' Nicky.
He was quite young there, the earliest "film" featuring Nicolas Cage in Best of Times, he was (only) 17 in this.
And apart showing us how ripped he was already, you can already glimpse the same kinda acting, voice and crazy Nicky he is to this day, sorta~
Same face, ever changing hair!! XD

FanFilmFriday - Pingu's THE THING
Well, enough stuff mostly known in the US for a change.
Time to check out stuff on the other side of the horizon.
Fans of awesome Swiss stop motion (or rather "claymotion") children show Pingu made this pretty awesome remake of the horror movie The Thing.
Oh man, so nostalgic.
And pretty amazing work from the fans there!
Even if you never heard of this "Pingu", it still is a pretty amazing work. (and what's not to get? "stop motion penguins remaking the story from the thing")

You can actually taste the desperation of the marketing guys running out of ideas for new toys in this awesome commercial 1965:
Deleted Scenes - What if... DC-Mangaverse
Comic book artist Cliff Chiang revealed on Project Rooftop he had been working on a manga/anime-inspired take on the Justice League...

AwesomeMoviesScenes - "We're gonna be Pardners!"
One of all-time favorite classics.
Honestly? I think I saw this over 10 times when I was a kid. Every summer was the occasion to rewatch this classic flick at some point or another.
I always liked Jerry Lewis.
But this scene from Pardners (1956) is easily one of finest and most engraved scenes I have totally memorized and burned onto my brain forever!
"You and me~ "
Dean Martin & Jerry Lewis might not have been the best of pals behind the camera (yes, yes, a well known fact, thank you), but their chemistry on screen was perfect!

Danny Pudi - sings in polish at Bonnie Hunt Talk Show
Here's a pretty funny moment of Danny Pudi being Danny Pudi :P
He was asked to sing in polish Bonnie Hunt's Talk Show, so he did that and even more!
Very funny and random video, check this out:
He went a bit freestyle at the end :P
Epic!

Dan's Fatal Fury
Long time since I last posted one of these random screenshots :P
From Street Fighter Alpha!
Always loved playing with Dan...maybe just because he's such a mashup/parody/and reference of the Art of Fighting characters playable in King of Fighters XD

Stand-up - Seth Rogen
Here's a different stand-up from the usual bunch.
This one's Seth Rogen, and actually from 1996, from Rogen's humble beginnings.
He sure changed quite a bit since then, but you can already sort of guess how's he gonna be like/how his humor's gonna evolve.
Enjoy!
He was actually 14 here.
Which is pretty impressive in itself, imagine doing a stand-up comedy routine in front of an audience at that age!

Drawings - 2011 recap!
One more year!
Here's my previous:
- 2010 recap!
- 2009 recap!
Eyz's 2011 "Summary of Art"
Trying to gather a wide variety of art styles and genres I went through this year.
While for some months (mostly, around summer) it was quite difficult to pick something good due to a lack of (good) deviations others were harder to decide what to use above, simply choice-wise (too many things to pick from, I couldn't just make up my mind).
Finally went with variety in characters (and ending the year)
This year marked the launch of my Heroes! blog, which I used to upload either on deviantArt or on this very blog before.

AwesomeMovieScenes from Clerks - The LoTR in short...
Randall resumes perfectly the LoTR trilogy in cult scene from Clerks 2:
Bwahaha!
I guess there's two types of fanboys. The fantasy nerds and the scifi geeks. To each their own, right? :P

MR The Castle of Cagliostro
Let's start off this year with a whole new review!
This time I would like to offer you yet another entry in my long running Studio Ghibli Marathon.
This yet another "Ghibli-esque" movie from the pre-Studio Ghibli era. Taking you this time in the late 70s...

Anime NEWS! Ghibli's next flick
Studio Ghibli's next movie Kokuriko-zaka Kara (which means From Kokuriko Hill) will finally see the day outside Japan!
It seems that France will be amongst the first to get a release under the title La colline aux coquelicot, which is pretty far from the English more literal translated title From up on Poppy Hill.
The movie will get a localized theatrical release on January 11 and a DVD/Bluray home release shortly after.
Which is great, I'll be able to get it sooner than expected, no doubt a whole lot quicker than the US will have it on their theaters. When did you guys get Arrietty? Not long ago and only on theaters for now, right? Disney sure is taking its sweet time to give the movies over there...
Anyways, there's a new trailer for the occasion, with French subtitles only, sorry!
Looking sweet so far! Hope this can redeem Gorō Miyazaki in the eyes of the fans.

FavoriteScene from Batman: The Brave and The Bold: YANKEE DOODLE
Happy New Year Everyone!
Hope you're all doing great!
And it's 2012 now.
Things didn't change much from one day to another, right? Is it the end of the world now? Whatever, I only know I will be missing Batman: The Brave and The Bold this year...
Man, that cartoon was awesome! So much fun, references and homages to the fun comics of old.
Anyways, what best way to start blogging this year other than this.
Lemme start by posting this awesome scene from BTBATB, featuring no other than Plastic Man (and Batman, Qwardians and Uncle Sam & The Freedom Fighters!)
Here's Plastic Man's version of Yankee Doodle!
From Season 2's Cry Freedom Fighters!
Heck, I'm not even an American but this song always gets me, like a patriot or something.
I must have seen this a hundred times easily.
Blog - French blog launched!
Hey gang!
Just a little quickie.
So you know.
What's the best way to start up the year with?!
I've just launched yet another web page.
This time it's another blog, in French s'il vous plait this time around.
It's called Tugudu and can be found at the following url:
http://tugudu.blogspot.com/
Why "tugudu"? It just came up like that, no reason. ('doesn't mean anything)
I already had an old blog in French I kinda lost track of but let's not talk about that... (I only use it to play with html and stuff these days ..)
This blog will mostly have random comic strips and stuff that come to my mind, so you know you won't be missing much if you don't parlez Français.
And that is all!
Take care!
