CBR Grant Morrison's Animal Man
Time for another comic book review!
This time, it's Animal Man's turn!
We already saw him before, I mentioned his storyline in an Adam Strange comics recently.
Let's see the comic that put this underdog superhero back on the map, in....

DC News! Animal Man gets animated!
Part of Warner Bros & Cartoon Network cartoon block, Animal Man will join in the DC Nation!
...And he's looking pretty epic so far!
Check out this preview clip:
I've been loving all the shorts so far. Plastic Man, Super Best Friends Forever..even the silly live footage testing Green Arrow's boxing glove or the batarangs!^^
Also, I can't wait to see the Doom Patrol animated!
Makes me wonder if they'll release the DC Nation shorts on a DVD and if we'll be able to watch through them per characters.
Fanmade - BATMAN doesn't beat up RETARDS!
With the upcoming new Batman film The Dark Knight Rises, I thought it would be à propos to start mocking that ugly Bane we're gonna get in live action.
You know, "that one", with the thing over his head/face/mouth.
Check out this fan made flash animation:
Exactly my point!

Gamin' NEWS! #Suda51 new game is apparently called KILLER IS DEAD
Some news regarding Suda51 & Grasshopper Manufacture's upcoming title after Lollipop Chainsaw!
2012 is going to be the year of Suda, between Lollipop, and a dozen downloadable titles he's working on currently...
Apparently, the new project will be called Killer Is Dead.
Wich some thought would be a Killer7 sequel...but it seems it will be closer to No More Heroes actually!
We'll play as an Executioner, a special agent whose job is to elmiate "S-level criminals". Another merc/hitman type of guy and job?
Suda already confirmed the swordplay NMH-style gameplay.
And he said to expect more new for this week.
And here's the first concept arts of the game:
Lookng fancy if I may say so! Can't wait!

Stand-up - Adam Sandler in the 80's
A pretty fun find.
Here's a clip from a young Adam Sandler's stand-up routine in the 80s.
Worth a look:
So he starts slow, but I really think he nailed it after that.
From a live show at a comedy club in Los Angeles around '88.

#Drawing - Booster Approved
Here's a bunch more of recent drawings, like that other post.
This time around, more Booster-oriented (minus a "guest star" below).
Why they keep referring to him as Green Lantern is beyond me.
Civilians in the DCU seem to be quite stupid.
Brooding "classic" Animal Man.
Pun(s) intended.
And last, but not least....
Me? I'm just having fun doing these random drawings of late~
BOOSTER APPROVED!! < you never know when you might need the use of this one!
And that is all for now!
Hope you enjoyed!

#Ad - Mega64's Cold Fear adverts
Speaking of Cold Fear, the game had quite a fun advertising campaign.
They might haven been heard a lot nor spread out that much like the viral marketing they were intended to be.
But it was quite a fun campaign nonetheless.
Want to know to what kind of lengths Ubi went to advertise the game? They even officially enlisted the help of Mega64 to produce Cold Fear-themed videos!
(videos after the jump, I'll leave you with one of those creepy viral marketing ads I mentioned in my review)

Since I just parodied Thundercats recently...
*Random* Man... I just love the current new Thundercats cartoon.
And you?
Here's a pretty badass groupshot from one of the recent episodes!
These designs really grew on me over the run of the show:
...and...huh..that is all I had to say!
Very fun "epic" show, blends scifi and fantasy while reimagining the characters and stories.
"Recommended"! <- my two cents review in a word

AwesomeCosplay Pics of the day: Mass Effect's Samara
Here's a pretty kickass cosplay picture.
It's Mass Effect's Samara the asari. And why does she look so goshdarn faithful and incredible? Simply because she's being portrayed here by "Rana", the model which Bioware used for the actual character design:
She does look quite stunning!
Also, that's one mighty impressive costume, quite detailed and recognizable.
Impressive! ~<3

OpeningThemes - TMNT
Aaaaaah.... the good ol' original theme from the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles cartoon.
Who - havin' been a kid in the late 80s/early 90s - doesn't know this one?
It's a classic! Pure and simple!
While I admit, the cartoon in itself wasn't always the best quality animation-wise, the intro was simply perfect...
This is the best version I could find. Taking into account youtube tends to either delete, mute or prevent those from being embed.

Drawing - Bettie Page
Today's DSC is the comic book version of Bettie Page.
So I couldn't pass this occasion to also include The Rocketeer himself in here for fun..
Didn't came out half bad, if you ask me~

MR Twin Peaks: Fire Walk with Me
...and after the show, here's the infamous Twin Peaks movie!
Considered a classic of cinema history by some, despised by others, they can only all agree that it is quite a confusing movie - in true Lynch fashion.
Originally, with all the planned script in the picture, lasting as long as 5 hours of runtime, it was then cut down to a more acceptable ~2 hours run (which for the time was quite a lot already if you ask me..).
David Lynch's most experimental feature according to his own words, make way for....

Drawing - I Got A Bug In My Brain
For god knows what reason, I've been in a Ted Kord mood lately....
Here's a bunch of random drawings from my deviantArt!
Ted is dead, long live the Blue Beetle!!
Ted Is Not Amused
...and here's a last one, a quickie.
I rushed through this pic of Booster Gold - I wanted to put this drawing down before calling it a night~
Hope you like 'em! :D

Movie NEWS! Total Recall actual trailer
And here's the actual trailer for the new Total Recall!
...which just looks like a big mess of CGi effects, a CGi city, CGi shots, CGi stuff, CGi things, etc..
Looks decent though...as far as these sort of blockbusters go.
I guess I'll be watching back the Schwarzy one instead, heh? :P
Why do all these modern movies need to focus so much on the shiny CGi and grittier reimagining these days? It feels like the same movie every new release!

#AprilsFool - Assassin's Creed for Kinect & Sega Bass Fishing of the Dead
Another one I wanted to post here, just 'cause.
Yeah, we might be April 2 already, but it's not a reason to miss this awesome Kinect Assassin's Creed trailer Ubisoft released yesterday :P
I dunno for you, but I find this one hilarious! XD
Update! Oh, and how could I forget Sega's awesome Sega Bass Fishing of the Dead!!?
For the Wii-U, obviously! XD
This one was Sega of America's April's fool. Sega of Europe was that other one.

IGN always has the best April's Fools jokes!
This year they went with a Mass Effect cartoon, it's priceless!
If you haven't seen it yet, enjoy:

#AprilsFool - Google Maps goes 8 bit and Sega send killer dolphins
While last year, my silly Booster Gold TV show-joke turned real (and I still can't believe it!), this year there's been a couple of neat April's fools around the interwebz already this early.
Including my all-fav so far, past years included, GoogleMaps in 8-bits!
Go try it out in GoogleMaps, just click on the Quest button! Try it while it's still available, like the Pac-man game previously.
Meanwhile, Sega's playing it parodic with...

ECCO: WATER WARS 2!!
Check it out!
ComicPageOfTheWeekend: Lick it clean
Poor Arisia...since her original appearance, through her romance with Hal Jordan and her odd aging-thing 'n' all..she's never been given a break.

Butch Hartman drawing Danny Phantom
Okay, so I may not have watched Danny Phantom (and will make up some excuse like "I was too old" or something). But this is still a nice video to check out nonetheless:
