CBR Avengers: The Origin
With the release of Avengers: Age of Ultron, now's as good time as any to finally review this great Avengers book by one of my favorite artists in the medium.
Follow the reviews of Marvel's tiniest heroes - Ant-Man and Wasp!
#Recap - Age of Ultron
I finally just saw Avengers: Age of Ultron yesterday evening.
It feels like it wasn't that long ago that I went to see the first Avengers...
And since there' been a half dozen other Marvel films - including my all-time favorite Guardians of the Galaxy - so how did this Avengers film turn out? [Warning: What follows might contain spoilers!]

#OpeningTheme - Rambo cartoon intro
Remember back when they used to turn gritty violent R-Rated films into toy-commercial cartoons?
Well, here's the Rambo cartoon opening! Probably the only decent and best part of this awful commercial show:
The Mister T. show from yesterday's post was certainly miles better than this!

#BestOf Avengers: Earth's Mightiest Heroes - Avengers vs Ultron
Celebrate the release of Age of Ultron with the best incarnation of Ultron to this day (in my eyes) with his fight from Avengers: Earth's Mightiest Heroes:
I prefer my Ultron less humanified and more robotic! And that creepy voice~

#Randomz - Hawkeye Sings About His Super Powers (Ed Sheeran "Thinking Out Loud" Parody)
Here's Jeremy Renner - aka Hawkeye - singing about his character's secret super powers on the The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon. And it's pretty epic!
Hey! Hawkeye's not a cat person. What about pizza dog?
People love to complain/mock the fact he's on the Avengers along a super soldier, a guy in a mech suit, a Norse deity and a green giant with infinite strength. I'd say he's the only one that actually deserves a spot for all the work and effort he put into his learned skill.

#OpeningTheme - Mister T Cartoon Intro
If like me you've probably been enjoying [adult swim]'s Mike Tyson Mysteries, you'll probably enjoy this.
The show might be modeled after Scooby-Doo and other older Hanna-Barbera shows, but the real inspiration behind it is in fact the old school and often hilariously cheesy Mister T cartoon. Using a similar premise of tagging a relatively "violent" over-the-top pop culture icon with a bunch of random cartoon characters on similar adventures. (In fact, adult swim just bought this old Mister T cartoon not long ago and has been showing it again these last couple of years!)
And, hey, it also contains some brief teaser live action sequences with our main hero, just for fun:
Gotta love Mister T's "full name"! "That period", haha!
Look at him punch that shark IN THE FACE!!!

#Randomz - The Five Stages of Watching A Marvel Movie
Here's a pretty funny video from the crew at How It Should Have Ended:
Alright. Sounds about right.
I really need to watch Age of Ultron, though. Even if I'm not super hyped for it (for some reason?). And it's been out for, like, a week over here.

#Randomz - Super Heroes vs Game Heroes
Here's the ultimate crossover to end 'em all (it even reminds me of the first thing I've ever seen on the internet, ever, way back when*).
From the good folks at CorridorDigital.
Simply epic beyond words!!!

#Sketch - Key & Peele's anger translator live with the actual Obama!
Here's something pretty epic.
Key and Peele's very own Keegan-Michael Key got the chance to act live his Luther, the anger translator at the 2015 White House Correspondents’ Dinner behind President Barack Obama!
And it was fantastic!
I see a lot of serious old white dudes not finding this funny. Why the serious face, folks? You're at the president's annual roast!
Man, Obama can be hilarious - say what you will of the man. I can't wait to see him after his presidency! Just imagine what the dude will do to let some pressure off! (Acting? Comedy??)
In other related news, the new season of Key and Peele premieres July 8! Finally!

#BestOf Batman the Brave and the Bold - Flash vs Professor Zoom
The best episodes of the Brave and the Bold were the ones that badly didn't make any use of Batman. I still wish the show was just called that, "The Brave and the Bold".
Did you like The Flash's fight with Reverse Flash on the CW show? Well this is even better:
That's right, Zoom was played by the original live action Flash, John Wesley Shipp! (And Alan Tudyk was Barry Allen here - how fitting!)

#Gaming NEWS! New Arkham Knight trailer
Are you hyped for Batman: Arkham Knight?
To be honest, I wasn't much really. That might just be because I don't have a "next gen" system yet. But this new trailer looks quite promising, it shows Catwoman, Robin and Nightwing back, directly implicated into the main storyline this team and not just the challenge maps. Plus there's a whole new gameplay element allowing you to jump from a character to another:
I kinda fear the game's adding way too many new features, they might not polish everything at this rate. (What with the playable Batmobile, etc.)
Anyone else find this awful new Robin design way too reminiscent of Chris O’Donnell Robin in Batman Forever or is it just me?? And what's with Nightwing's huge domino mask? At least it's not the ugly New 52 red one...
Where's Batgirl though? And I know Babs' Oracle in this game, but why not use Cassandra Cain, she would be perfect in this universe!!!

Sad #Gaming NEWS! Silent Hills no more
About time I wrote this - Did you folks heard about Kojima being fired from Konami? Of course you heard that.
What a sad day it is. I mean, over the last few years, all my favorite gaming studios have either closed down (Neversoft, SNK..), been shut down (LucasArts, Sierra), forced to go under restructuration under new publishers (Sega-Sammy..) and basically been turned into something completely different from their former self (Capcom, and now Konami).
A lot of my favorite creators have left their respective studios (mostly at Capcom) to go form their own independent studios (those same guys now mostly at Platinum Games, Suda and his Grasshopper team, Yuji Naka with Prope, etc.).
But firing the guy that is sole responsible for the Metal Gear/Solid series? I'm not a big fan of the series, to be honest (to each their own), but even so I gotta recognize - you don't fire the creative mind behind the MGS series! Come on!
Anyways, this post was about Silent Hill. Obviously Del Toro and Norman Reedus finally confirmed the whole thing was not gonna happen. And now Konami confirmed the project is no more.
Silent Hills is dead.
I wasn't entirely fan of the idea, but it sounded like an original way to bring the series back to attention. And maybe it would be the best thing to happen to SH in ages. Apparently Konami will still continue to develop their own new SH games, but just not that one.
Aww...
Anyway, everyone who has access to the PSN should take this occasion to grab a copy of P.T. before it's too late.
Now that this is over, I would really like to see the franchise back in the hands of Team Silent. Or just get Climax back, they did great work on the few couple of games they did.

#Randomz - Jackie Chan - How to Do Action Comedy
A link my brother sent me about Jackie Chan films (and the different between his Hong Kong material and his Hollywood career):
"Some filmmakers can do action. Others can do comedy. But for 40 years, the master of combining them has been Jackie Chan. Let’s see how he does it."
Great stuff.

#MusicBOX - Dionysos - Song for jedi...
Here's an old school French music hit. Yes, it's partly in English, just for fun. Don't read too much into it, itt's just a fun catchy song from way back when:
And, yes. It has absolutely nothing to do with Star Wars.
