#fightingNEWS Mortal Kombat 11 Kombat Pack – Official Terminator T-800 Gameplay Trailer

T-800 arrives in Mortal Kombat 11, as the new DLC character for the current “Kombat Pack” season.

And while they couldn't get the actual Arnie voicing him, it looks like a really fun character with a ton of little details. Like losing the skin with attacks and ending up as the creepy endoskeleton, the time travel-fatality, and more!

I actually really dig what they did. He will be made available this October 8.

Okay... New Terminator film.. I don't even know what to say, and I'm a long-time fan of the series, just look at all the Terminator reviews I've done on this very blog over the year..

Except, that it looks a bit bland, generic and unfinished?

Still, James Cameron is back producing and even more hands on the franchise than past installments and we even have Tim Miller (Deadpool 1) directing it.



They might call it yet another reboot, ignoring T3-Salvation-Genisys, but it a series based around time travel and rewriting history. Of course it never fits perfectly, but I still see this Terminator 6 coming off past films easily, both visually and thematically. It almost feels like another take on T3, with Genisys (gosh, I hate that title..) ideas. You even had the old aged-up "pop" Arnie T-800! Like taking Sarah Connor off the timeline in Genisys created this new split timeline where John Connor's not the necessary leader to save the future..! And the boring new evolved shapeshifting Terminator seems like a mix of the T-X (only it can split off the exoskeleton and liquid metal part) and the woman Terminator protecting them seems like a reverse Marcus (Salvation) or Connor Terminator (Genisys)...

Anyways, lore aside, it does look a bit bland, generic and unfinished... Same ol', same ol'.

It certainly helps this new Transformers movie to have a director coming from an animation background.

The soft reboot the franchise desesperately needed:



You can finally distinguish and understand the designs of the robots. They're actually reminiscent of their classic designs. They look different, unique and memorable enough you can picture a kid trying to draw them. Also, I just adore that Cybertron sequence!!!

The film comes to theatres this Christmas.

We have a first look at the upcoming new Terminator film (Terminator 6??) which will be actually overseen and produced by James Cameron and directed by Deadpool 1 director Tim Miller!

Sounds good so far? Yeah, I'm still not feeling it either...

Nooooot feeling it aaaaat all....

At least we will get Scharzennegger and Linda Hamilton back! Yay...?

The film's expected for November 15, 2019 next year.

There's a new much better trailer for the upcoming film Pacific Rim: Uprising film! A Japan-exclusive trailer which actually shows a lot of better alternate scenes, more of the evil (?) Jaeger, people prosting against-Jaegers and pro-Kaijus, and more importantly Rinko Kikuchi’s Mako, back from the first film finally!!! I knew she was in the film, but I was sad to see her nowhere in all the material so far. Enjoy:

GODDAMMIT!!!

I had so much hope and hype for this one... My favorite manga series about robots (sorry, Ghost in the Shell..)... Robert Rodriguez directing it..  A relatively decent cast...

But instead we got "this"!?!! To "mimic" the manga artstyle???



Just...

Ugh...

I can't... I need time to process this result...

We don't even get any cyber/punk feel from this production!!!

Robert Rodriguez, how could you let us down so much....!! Sigh...

This is just gonna be a secondhand DVD-buy from me...

#AnimeNEWS GHOST IN THE SHELL Super Bowl Spot Trailer

There's also a new Super Bowl trailer out for the upcoming Ghost in the Shell adaptation. And it looks friggin' fun and stylish:



Really great vibe from this one, more so than the Blade Runner sequel. And I like how Matrix-ysh it looks since the original anime was one of the inspirations behind that trilogy.

You know what? This looks incredibly faithful, I mean shot for shot recreated. I'm actually highly anticipated for this one.

#E3News ReCore gameplay trailer

Alright, I admit, I'm a big Keiji Inafune fanboy! There, I said it!

Honestly this ReCore is the only title that would make me want to get an Xbox One. You can keep your Halos and Gears of Wars to yourself. Giant robots? An old school-like action game by Keiji Inafune? Sold! And I like the idea and the designs:



They already announced it at E3 last year, but we finally have some proper gameplay footage this year! It does look nice, perfectly my alley.

The game will apparently be out in September.
