Yeah. You read that right.
Without even trying, I just noticed I ended up having the “Bubsy Collection”...
It all started with the relatively “okay” Bubsy ports on the Mega Drive:

Morbid curiosity made me grab a copy of Bubsy 3D in a secondhand market:

Honestly, once of the worst games I’ve ever tried.
Then we got a random modern 3D sidescroller Bubsy nobody asked for:

And out of nowhere came and went a crowdfunding campaign for another new game... and without much fanfare, a new game was just released, a runner from the crew behind the Bit.Trip series:

And you know what, it might just be the best title in the entire series. It’s actually decent, playable and more fun than any previous titles!
BUT waitaminute.. how did I end up with so many Bubsy games...!?!?!

And suddenly - no joke, no April's Fool - there's a new BUBSY game!!!

What!?!?!

Bubsy: The Woolies Strike Back is new game the original Bubsy studio Accolade just announced for PS4 and Steam!!!

No joke, no what if, no dream episode! Here's the official trailer:



This will mark 21 years (!!!!!) since Bubsy was last seen in a game - which is the one and only nightmarish platformer Bubsy 3D back in 1996. And even though the first two 2D games were decent, if nothing special, I can't believe they're finally making a new one! A proper sequel, not just HD re-releases. Not even a kickstarter project!! And this is also supposed to help Accolade come back as a proper gaming studios!

I can't believe in 2017 we will get new Mario, Sonic, Crash and Bubsy games coming out! I guess we're now slowly moving into 90s nostalgia!
