#Blog - The SEGA Bingo card is live!

There's been a surge of new Sega announcements lately making me believe we might be actually seeing a Sega revival play out, considering the last few remasters and indie sequels they also produced.

I've updated this bingo card with the 5 new announced titles, but not the licenced renewed, let's wait to see some concrete announcements first.

This is the Sega revival I hoped after the post-Dreamcast era when Sega was pumping out a ton of titles on Gamecube, Xbox and PS2 (and GBA), but which kinda didn't take...

And we almost got it around the 2010s with a bunch of compilations and 3DS remakes, but that died as well..

Here's my Bingo card. I make a clear distinction between remakes/remasters, which is nice but doesn't bring anything new I couldn't play on my classic Sega consoles, and actual new game installments. For example, I still hope to see a proper new Alex Kidd with brand new worlds and stages to explore. And Shenmue got both (but you can still bring us Shenmue 4!).

Let's see if we can complete a line or column!

ONE LAST THING those last two lines are a just a dream.. this is my wishlist, I'm putting my dream projects down.

Also none of the series that keep Sega alive, like Sonic, Yakuza.. There's always some new Shining in Japan.. not counting the Phantasy Star Online games which took over the classic Phantasy Star series. It's my selection of favorite Sega franchises.

#GamingNEWS Roller Champions: Jet Set Radio event | Ubisoft Forward

They had us in the first half, not gonna lie...

How difficult is it to release a new Jet Set Radio or re-release the two (and I said TWO) previous games????!

#SEGAnews - kinda - Bomb Rush Cyberfunk - Official Trailer

If Sega won't do it themselves, then it's up to the fans to give other fans what they want!

In a year of Sega, #GOSEGA for the 60th Anniversary of the legendary video game developer, I've been really enjoying all these belated news.

We got a Sonic and a Streets of Rage game made by fans. We got a Shenmue 3 made without Sega. And now we're getting some knockoffs of Sega IPs that they don't seem to want to revist themselves.

We already got not-Crazy Taxi. And now we'll be getting not-Jet Set Radio.

And better than all of that, it will even actually sound like JSR! Thanks to original composer Hideki Naganuma working on this! It's all this game really finally needed. And just like with SoR4 and Yuzo Koshiro before it, I'm glad they got him on board.

All we need is an official stamp of approval from Sega, give it the title Jet Set Radio 3 and they can add some classic JSR characters...

In the meantime we will be getting this Bomb Rush Cyberfunk on at least PC in 2022. Can't wait!!

#GamingNEWS Bomb Rush Cyberfunk Teaser

UNDERSTAND THE CONCEPT OF LOVE for a new Jet Set Radio-style game.

Leave to fans to do what big name studios don't. And that is giving us spiritual sequels of long-time classics.

Here is Team Reptile’s Bomb Rush Cyberfunk. A sort of reimagined modern JSR-style game. "But aside from the skating, griding and cell-shaded art, what does it actually have from JSR, since it's not an official sequel?" Well, my hypotetical internet reader, composer Hideki Naganuma is working on the game as well!

Here's a first trailer for it:

And it sure looks SWEET so far! It's coming to PC, and I hope they port it to Switch as well.
