Great news, everyone! My SOULCALIBUR waifu Hilde is coming to SCVI's 2nd season of DLC!
I admit, I'm not sold on her new default look. But that's why you can customize characters. No release date announced so far...

#FightingNEWS #EVO2019 announcements
Here's a bunch of fighting game news, straight from #EVO 2019!
First up Ed Boon & Netherrealm Studios finally showed ONE of the upcoming new DLC characters for Mortal Kombat 11's Kombat Pack , fan-favorite Nightwolf! (Sorry Sindel, and even worse, Mileena fans, nothing for you guys..)
During EVO 2019's big Dragon Ball FighterZ finals, Arc System Works officially announced Janemba and Gogeta with the following trailer. And Janemba's getting released this week no less!
And while I might not be a big fan of it, let's not skip French Bread's update for their 2D fighter Under Night In-Birth: EXE Late[cl-r]. Yeah. Such a weird silly name. But things look pretty decent though:
Slightly ahead of schedule for EVO, thanks to a Valve/Steam leak, the announcement of more Street Fighter V DLC characters! All available right ahead! Fans wanted E.Honda for so long.. and we even got two more Final Fight guest, thanks Ono!
One of the big announcements of EVO was Harada announcing a major update for TEKKEN 7 as well as a new Season 3 that will include a bunch of changes, stages and characters. Starting with a fan much requested return and a newcomer for T7:
BlazBlue Cross Tag Battle is getting EVEN MORE characters! It's not the best game ever.. but I love it!
SNK probably confirmed development on the new King of Fighters XV with the following logo:
As well as the full roster of DLC (which includes a free character) for the Samurai Shodown reboot - along the confirmation of a Season 2 coming in 2020 with more DLC characters! PLEASE ADD IROHA, SNK!!
And while we're on the subject, NAMCO revealed the last character coming to Soul Calibur VI....
...As well as a confirmation of a Season 2 which will no less than a guest character from SNK... HAOMARU himself from Samurai Shodown!!! I love seeing all these SNK characters pop up in all sorts of fighters, lately!
But the best announcement came form ArcSys who just announcement a brand new Guilty Gear for 2020! Look how beautiful it looks! Even better than Xrd! It looks like working on Dragon Ball and Kill la Kill sure helped them master this new graphics style & engine!

#FightingNEWS SOULCALIBUR VI - 2B Character Reveal Trailer | PS4, X1, PC
I had been wishing to see NiER Automata's 2B get added to Tekken 7, mostly because Harada said he wanted to add characters from games he liked last year as DLC, hence Noctis. But this is a pretty good alternative.
2B was just announced as an upcoming DLC character for SOULCALIBUR VI, she will be the 2nd added character to this first season pass (along the controversial Beta-playable Tira..). And despite her futuristic nature, she really seems to fit well the game (at least better than Star Wars characters, if you ask me..).
The only problem is... me and a ton of others had already made her via the custom creation system. Oh well!...
She looks beautiful! Can we simply add her to every fighting game from now on? SNK Heroines, DOA, etc.?

#FightingNEWS SOUL CALIBUR 6 Announce Trailer!!!
Last week, Soul Calibur 6 was announced for the current gen. Now there's more precision.
It seems to ditch the later-days storyline of the last game and go back to a pseudo-remake of Soul Edge/Blade (or Soul Calibur? Not quite sure so far..). Which simply means they're going back to the original cast of characters, looking younger than ever.
Gameplay-wise they seem to ditch some of the later clunkier mechanics to a simplified play.
Check out a first announcement trailer:
And some gameplay:
There's also a controversial brand new "Reversal Edge-mechanic". Like the game almost auto-playing some counters... weird stuff. I need to try this out to make my mind about it..

What did you do this weekend?!
Hey gang, long time since I did one of these, heh?!
So, what did you guys and gals do this weekend?
Read any fun book I should heard of? Any good movies out there? Any entertaining video games lately?
Me? Well, besides watching hours of 30 Rock for no reason - it's been mostly this...
Yep!
Big FIGHTIN' GAMES marathon!
Powered by the Xbox 360, so it seems XD
It's been the occasion to have a quick run through all of these again, shake back memories and whatnot.
Here's my current impression of this generations' titles (I've mostly played the latest iterations of them, if available)

Gamin' NEWS! Soul Calibur V Character Creation Mode Trailer
Here's a trailer for the character creation mode for the upcoming Soul Calibur V:
I dunno for you, but I still prefer a good ability to customize/play with hairstyle and clothing of regular characters (Tekken style) than creating your own fighter from scratch... I dunno...
It just makes the actual characters in-game "less special" and end up having lots of random characters running around the game (online or not)...

Gamin' NEWS! Ezio joins in Soulcalibur 5
Here's something random...
It looks like Ezio will be Soulcalibur V's guest character.
Since the 3rd game (that makes it Soul Calbiur II) the series always sported guest characters from Heiachi, Spawn, Link to Yoda, Darth Vader, Kratos (and some original manga artists designed ones and another one by comic book legend Todd McFarlane).
Though if this time we get Ezio, it will be the first that a guest character actually does fit the design and era is included as a bonus character!

Gamin' NEWS! New Soul Calibur announced
And that is all I had to say:
...
Oh, and apparently it will take place 17 years after the last one!
Some major changes to be expected in the character roster then. (and that is good, stuff like that made awesome games such as Street Fighter 3 or Mark of the Wolves in the past)
