#BestOf Batman the Brave and the Bold - Flash vs Professor Zoom

The best episodes of the Brave and the Bold were the ones that badly didn't make any use of Batman. I still wish the show was just called that, "The Brave and the Bold".

Did you like The Flash's fight with Reverse Flash on the CW show? Well this is even better:

That's right, Zoom was played by the original live action Flash, John Wesley Shipp! (And Alan Tudyk was Barry Allen here - how fitting!)

CBR Green Lantern/Plastic Man

Time to review a little one shot from DC Comics I kept forgetting to review for the blog. (originally planned to do so right after the Plastic Man 38-page special...)

Why's that?
Is the story so forgettable I kept delaying this review? Or was it so great I just had to finally find some time for it instead of not reviewing it?

Read ahead~

Don't miss out my previous Plastic Man-related reviews!

CBR Xombi (2011)

Time to check out some less popular, less known American comic books.
Today's title, a "weird" light horror lil' comic going by the name....

How To Draw Batman Punching

Here's a video I found rather pretty interesting, personally.

It's a video of Jake Castorena from Warner Bros Animation studios, showing us how to draw Batman's HAMMERS OF JUSTICE!

This would no doubt quality as one of my top three dream jobs, particularly at WBs ^__^
*sigh*

FavoriteScene from Batman: The Brave and The Bold: YANKEE DOODLE

Happy New Year Everyone!

Hope you're all doing great!
And it's 2012 now.
Things didn't change much from one day to another, right? Is it the end of the world now? Whatever, I only know I will be missing Batman: The Brave and The Bold this year...
Man, that cartoon was awesome! So much fun, references and homages to the fun comics of old.

Anyways, what best way to start blogging this year other than this.
Lemme start by posting this awesome scene from BTBATB, featuring no other than Plastic Man (and Batman, Qwardians and Uncle Sam & The Freedom Fighters!)

Here's Plastic Man's version of Yankee Doodle!

From Season 2's Cry Freedom Fighters!
Heck, I'm not even an American but this song always gets me, like a patriot or something.
I must have seen this a hundred times easily.

The Currys of Atlantis

Here's the latest song present in the Brave and the Bold cartoon, and my already new favorite scene from the show.
A sitcom spoof featuring the Aquaman family!
From the teaser part of the latest episod, which actually featured  the first appearance of Ray Palmer! The Atom, an animated adaptation of Sword of the Atom and the first time on screen, both Atoms next to each other, something I'm a big fan of even it happened so little times.

So...epic!
John DiMaggio has such an amazing singing voice!

BTBATB Song - Grey & Blue

Spoiler alert!
Here's the latest awesome song from the latest Batman The Brave & The Bold episode!
Can't believe nobody posted this one on either youtube or elsewhere yet?! I had to do it myself! :'3

Enjoy!

Vigilante sings while Batman kicks some mobster's ass.

I'll miss these awesome musical numbers once the Brave and the Bold will be over :/

Cartoon NEWS! The JLI on B:TBATB

You're ready for this?
The JLI will come to be on Batman: The Brave And The Bold!
Well, a variation on the JLI. Though they'll stay as comedic and disfunctional as we  all remember them to be.

The Blue Beetle Ted Kords will be replaced by Jaime (like in the comics Generation Lost), this will mark J'onn and Ice's debut (Fire already appeared briefly once), Aquaman will join in the JLI for the first time (because he's so OUTRAGEOUS), they'll face Darkseid and his miniiioooons and another JLI episode will happen next season.

Here's a preview:

And some pics:

 Looks OUTRAGEOUS!!

Awesome! Can't wait!! Prepare your milk and Oreos~
Ice looks so darn' cute^^

Cartoon NEWS! B:TBATB episode

Batman: The Brave and the Bold new episode:
"Menace of the Madniks" (aired on October 2, 2010 (2010-10-02) in Australia already)

Plot: "Booster Gold travels back in time to hang out with his old friend, the second Blue Beetle. His time traveling changes the present. Batman and Booster Gold must fix the timeline."

YES!

Blue and Gold, together, on screen and voiced!!

Sounds like an early plot straight from Geoff Johns modern Booster Gold comic series!

This Batman: The Brave and the Bold on the Wii is sure lookin' pretty fun!

Looks pretty fun~
Can't wait to play this one!
(PLEASE! Include Booster Gold!!! And a Flash!! Other Lanterns? Ted/Blue Beetle?! Some characters which didn't appear yet on the Brave and the Bold??)

What did ya do this weekend?

Hey gang!
Another week, another "What did you do this weekend?"-thing!

I didn't play that much thins weekend...
Mostly read stuff.
Like Bande dessinée and some comics. : P

'Been reading the Brave and the Bold current comic series lately, by Mark Waid.
It's a really fun team-up comic series with bits of sci-fi and adventure all over.

This weekend's I've been on the volume 3 of the paperbacks, called "Demons and Dragons".
It was Mark Waid's last issues, sad news :(
I hope this series will not lose its pulp-fun-adventurous atmosphere for a more serious, dark and big-event-crossovers aspect!

This last volume was probably the best story-arc so far! You don't need too much DC Comics knowledge to enjoy this!
Fun read!

On the gaming part, I've started playing Alan Wake with my bro!
Very original and interesting game! It's from an European developer I love, Remedy Software.
The game looks and feels like a mix of Max Payne with Survival horrors - gameplay wise.

The game really shines in its originality and story.
What Max Payne was to Noir Love stories, Alan Wake does the same and then some to thrillers/drama TV shows.
Max Payne was constructed like and told through a comic book approach.
Alan Wake use the TV drama construction. Many questions thrown at you, a well thought plot revealed bit by bit and it chapters is an episode in itself with everything it implies. Theme, mini-arc, tension culminating with a cliffhanger and even a recap at the beginning of each chapter!

It looks, feels and plays great!
I much prefer a game like this, playable, with a cinematic feel than something, say, like Heavy Rain which is pretty similar in an opposite way, cinematic with a gaming aspect.

To each their own, I guess!
Plus it's nice to see a "blockbuster game" from Europe for once! It's like all games are either American (or rather Canadian) or Japanese now! -__-

Other than that?
I only played Chronicles of Riddick: Assault on Dark Athena.
For a while now, I've really wanted to go back to Vin Diesel's Scifi media-franchise Chronicles of Riddick.

I already watched again Pitch Black, a great horror scifi movie, not unlike the first Alien.
I wanted to play again Escape from Butcher Bay, a cult classic Xbox game that really shined when it was released back then, for it's great immersive universe, fun gameplay and great visuals!
But my Xbox re-died lately ("she" does that once in  a while...Yeah. Weird stuff...)
So I took this as an opportunity to finally buy Dark Athena on the Xbox360, which contains a remake of Butcher Bay as well.

I love this game!!
Incredible!
It almost feels adventur-y! The game isn't 100% free open world but neither uses levels for the progression.
You're in a certain space with people to talk to, objectives and stuff to do and collect.
But it uses a FPS engine and view. Plus there's combat, weapons and lots of enemies, but you better be ready to sneak up on enemies one by one, with a clever infiltration/stealth gameplay.

It's quite unique!

Finally, I've been able to watch the Yatterman movie, thanks to the French dvd release!

One word: YATTAAAAA!!

It's a pretty amazing and faithful adaptation of the old Time Bokan anime series from Tatsunoko studios!
By Takashi Miike, nonetheless!
(recommanded watch: Zebraman, epic, heroic and aliens against a Zebra costumed middle aged hero, what could you ask more?!?)

Loved it! Takashi Miike said himsel, Americans are doing now Dragon Ball and many future adaptations. He had to show everybody how you really do an anime live!

Anyway, that's it for now!
Some reviews coming this week finally, if I stop being lazy : P
News in a sec'

Stay tuned for moooaaar-
