The new Sonic Movie is looking pretty good! The latest trailer is full of hints, glimpses and references to the larger universe of Sonic, from a top notch recent movie poster to the recently announced Sonic Movie 3 and Knuckles limited series!

 

I gotta say.. I'm somehow really hyped for this! Maybe it's the perfect solution to the current superhero fatigue, which Sonic seems to be part of and allude to a lot.

Anyways, the film is out in two weeks!

Who would have guessed we would have MCU-levels Sonic movies? But it does look fun and epic!

Tails looks cute! Eggman's looking Eggmannier! And Knuckles is a badass!

 It feels like AGES since the original Sonic movie came out. Wasn't that the last "real" big theaters movie release? Before, you know... the end of days?

Anywhere, look at this brand new little title teaser released by Paramount Pictures. Such a simple little video, a simple and generic title. But the little nod to Tails and the music create all the hype it needs...

I honestly can't wait! Please, make a less Hollywood cliché story. Rely more on Sonic's universe. And Let Eggman make robotic animals this time!

#Sega NEWS! And Sonic Boom is actually..

First up Sega announced 2014 is going to be the Year of Sonic (well at least it's not the Year of Luigi anymore, amIright?)

Next thing we know... we finally got a confirmed look at the new character designs teaser way back when.

Woah! Not looking half-bad... in concept!

Then after confirming these full designs... we got our new CGi animated TV series AND a new game announced!

That is when all hell broke loose...

#Cartoon NEWS! Sonic Boom - New Animated Series in 2014!

It had been hinted recently.

Looks like Sonic will be headed for a new TV series in Fall 2014 (source)!

Tentatively titled Sonic Boom for now, it's a brand new animated series!

The show will debute in the US on Cartoon Network (no less!), a planned 52 eleven-minute episodes have been scheduled so far and it looks like it will be CGi! It's a co-production between SEGA Of America Inc & animation studio Genao Productions.

Here's the official pitch:

Sonic Boom is a character-driven comedy that leaves a trail of robot wreckage in its smoldering wake. The series centers on Sonic, his best friend and sidekick, Tails, their never-ending search for adventure, and their battles with Sonic’s arch-nemesis, Dr. Eggman. Rounding out the ensemble are fan favorites Knuckles and Amy Rose, plus a rogue’s gallery of enemies—some familiar to Sonic fans and some brand-new.

Honestly, as a(n old) long time fan, I can already see several "things" wrong with this show in such a simpler teaser....
-For one, super-huge-bulky Knuckles (with fingers??)
- I swear Sonic's wearing clothes on that pic... new redesigns? Will the same follow in future games then?

...But let's wait and see!

Sega NEWS! Sonic 4 Episode II trailer revealed

So, Sega finally let the trailer for their upcoming title Sonic 4: Episode II out.
After all those screenshots, we can finally see how it will all be in motion.

New engine, new visuals and better physic.
Also the gameplay will include some nice new original ideas thanks to Tails' help.

Love the much improvement look all around.
Thank god for an actual 3D engine. The previous CG rendered-2D just didn't do it for me...

Of course, playing Rayman Origins at the moment, it steps below that and I can see why this one's digital only and not a full retail feature....

Sega released not long ago a bunch of new screenshots of the upcoming digital title Sonic the Hedgehog 4  Episode II!

A new video teaser trailer was released by Sega yesterday, to announce the debut of Sonic 4 Episode 2!

Don't expect much from a reveal teaser video, but here it is anyways.

Nothing much to go with, but it seems this promises us co-op/2 players/Tails playable at least.
Also Metal Sonic will have some part to play...

Some have already said it might connect/relate to Sonic CD, which was re-released not long ago on current systems.~
