Here's the most random but fun news to have come out of this year's New York Comic-Con - there's going to be an American-produced anthology comic revolving around Attack on Titans:
In case you didn't know, it's a post-apocalyptic medieval (?) manga and anime series about humanity trying to survive in a world where "Titans", giant invincible zombie-like creature rampage through the world so people have built these giant walls to survive.
Kodansha Comics has announced they're going to publish this Attack on Titan Anthology comic in fall 2016, which is going to be a full-color 250-page collection of short stories by a roster of American creators, each story between 5 to 25 pages, with pinup artwork as well by various popular comic book artists.
This is not the first time a partnership like this has been made between US comics and Japanese mangas, I'm thinking of the great tribute/parody books published by Dark Horse Comics around Evangelion.
They already released a list of some of the contributors of the actual short stories: Brenden Fletcher, Tomer & Asaf Hanuka, Faith Erin Hicks, Kate Leth & Jeremy Lambert, Michael Oeming, Afua Richardson, Paolo Rivera, Damion Scott, Gail Simone, Scott Snyder, Cameron Stewart, Babs Tarr, Genevieve Valentine, Kevin Wada and finally Ronald Wimberly.
Check out these few preview artworks:
I cannot wait for all this! There already was a Marvel Universe X Shingeki no Kyojin crossover last year and two live action Japanese movies. This franchise is getting huuuuge I tell ya!

ComicPanelsOfTheWeek: Batman and Sons
One panel is only what's needed to reintroduce familiar characters.
Though I think Greg Capullo kinda did Dick a tad too short in here (specially compared to how he looks in his own title..).
