#MovieNEWS Terminator: Dark Fate - Official Trailer (2019) - Paramount Pictures

A new trailer is out for Terminator: Dark Fate! And they managed to do something no Terminator movie did before, including T2, not spoil too much twists with the trailer.

It all still looks and feels pretty mysterious so far...

Looks like the future has changed once more. But nothing can be altered so it will all end up repeating itself once more... I imagine...

#MovieNEWS Terminator: Dark Fate - Official Teaser Trailer (2019) - Paramount Pictures

Okay... New Terminator film.. I don't even know what to say, and I'm a long-time fan of the series, just look at all the Terminator reviews I've done on this very blog over the year..

Except, that it looks a bit bland, generic and unfinished?

Still, James Cameron is back producing and even more hands on the franchise than past installments and we even have Tim Miller (Deadpool 1) directing it.

They might call it yet another reboot, ignoring T3-Salvation-Genisys, but it a series based around time travel and rewriting history. Of course it never fits perfectly, but I still see this Terminator 6 coming off past films easily, both visually and thematically. It almost feels like another take on T3, with Genisys (gosh, I hate that title..) ideas. You even had the old aged-up "pop" Arnie T-800! Like taking Sarah Connor off the timeline in Genisys created this new split timeline where John Connor's not the necessary leader to save the future..! And the boring new evolved shapeshifting Terminator seems like a mix of the T-X (only it can split off the exoskeleton and liquid metal part) and the woman Terminator protecting them seems like a reverse Marcus (Salvation) or Connor Terminator (Genisys)...

Anyways, lore aside, it does look a bit bland, generic and unfinished... Same ol', same ol'.

Terminator: Dark Fate opens November 1.

#SDCC2018 ALITA BATTLE ANGEL Trailer 2 (2018)

You know what, this Gunnm/Alita Hollywood adaptation does actually look kinda promising and faithful, all things considered. The punk tone seems to have been altered for a more generic scifi-ysh style. But I dig it. Still not sold on the huge CGi eyes, I'm sure they could have easily done without those giant bug eyes...

I'm not sure I like the the Last Order/Mars Chronicles bits added to the original Gunnm/Alita story...

1PanelReview The Abyss

In 1989, 5 (no less!) horror films taking place underwater and seeing a crew face some supernatural danger while testing the strength of their teams were released simultaneously, one after the other.

These films were in theatrical release order: DeepStar Six, Leviathan, Lords of the Deep, The Evil Below and finally The Abyss.

This is one of them.
