Movie NEWS! New alien flick and new grindhouse flick

And by this title I don't mean a new Aliens movie nor another Grindhouse, but new unrelated movies inspired by recent successes...

Thanks to the success of Distric 9, now there's a new wave of "realistic-grimm-documentary-like" alien movies.
Monsters is another serious take on an alien menace who's livin' in our good ol' planet of Earth.
This movie directed by Gareth Edwards will be another lowcost movie aiming at simple yet believable effects. It will be released around Oct 29 in the US and Nov 12 in Europe.



Looks...ok, but I'm kinda tired of this trend of making alien creatures so insect-like lately...
Where's the intelligence from beyond?! Where's the culture/society behind those so-called monsters?!
I miss the Predator suddenly..oh wait, that's right, they came back in a third movie lately... One good point to cinema for these recent years!


Hobo with a Shotgun will be another Grindhouse movie, directed Jason Eisener.
Yeah. That's his name. Can you believe it?! I totally want to see this one just for the title! It's gonna be epic!
It's aiming for a Spring 2011 release and will be a gory/violent/stupid/fun old school horror/action movie.
And yes, it's another Grindhouse trailer turned into an actual movie, like the badass over-the-top Machete.
