NEWS! Wonder Woman live new show 1st pic!

I've probably already talked about this in a new post...then again..not sure if I simply passed this over...

Anyway, for newcomers, there's a whole new live Wonder Woman adaptation in the works!
A live TV series!
That's right!
Unexpected? Or was Warner Bros simply wanting to not spend as much money on her as, say, Green Lantern?

Anyway, this show is being held by David E. Kelley, the guy behind shows such as Ally McBeal or Boston Legal and will air on NBC.
Yikes, right?

Warner has described this new take on WW as "a reinvention of the iconic DC comic in which Wonder Woman -- aka Diana Prince -- is a vigilante crime fighter in L.A. but also a successful corporate executive and a modern woman trying to balance all of the elements of her extraordinary life."
Yikes again.
Anyway, I would have preferred a guy like Joss Whedon for a character like Diana...
I fear they'll have WW acting a bit weak and girly, while trying clothing shops and discussing gossips with her girlfriends or something...
WW is supposed to be a strong, warrior-like character. DC's first lady afterall!

She will be played by Adrianne Palicki.
And here's the 1st pic, a look at this modern version of her costume:

Triple-yikes!
Why a blue so...blu-ysh.
And there's so few greek-inspiration in this costume.
And why does this show already look so low-budget from this official promo picture?
And it's supposed to be a "serious, non-campy take on the DC Comics character." as they put it...?!
And - finally; is it me or isn't it that far from Jim Lee's redesign?

(albeit, worse and looking like a cheap spandex Halloween inspired costume)

  1. This costume is so atrocious it makes the JMS costume look good!

It looks so, so cheap. I'm guessing they'll have a lot of CGI in this series or something. They have to. Otherwise it won't look convincing at all!
