Live Green Lantern movie CGi costume full-shot

Here's finally a complete look at Ryan Reynold's Green Lantern CGi costume!

Alright.. I wouldn't say it's completely bad...but it's not fantastic either.
So many "wrong" aspects of it, not counting the nerds' complaint about how faithful or not it is.
From a purely aesthetic approach, I understand why they would get rid of the white elements of the comic book costume.

But was it important to show of his thumbs? Look at his feet!
And also, the costume is supposed to be (in CGi) constructs of his power, right? Manifested by his imagination? So why does it look like muscles, like a very thin fiber/material while some aliens from the latest trailer show more terrestrial fabrics and less alien textures?
Would you feel secure with such a form-fitting costume (you can see thumbs!!) or represent a costume like this with your imagination, wouldn't he create something along the lines of what he would normally wear on earth? Muscles, really? (yet Sinestro and Kilowog have better textured suits)

And I'm still not digging the idea of a completely CGi costume..

Well wait and see... In any case, they might use something better in a reboot or two..

  2. Right!
I mean, even diving suits will usually either cover the feet (and hide the thumbs) or have fins hide 'em.

    The feet here looks kinda...silly.
Like he's actually completely naked (and fighting crime across space that way..)

  3. I was going to complain about the lack of white gloves, but WHAT THE HECK IS UP WITH THE FEET?! I wouldn't have noticed that if you hadn't pointed that out. That is so...bizarre!

  4. Weird, right?

Hopefully, the movie won't take the time to put these on screen too much :/
(though kids will buy the action figures, and then... °__°)
