Superman's Pal, Seinfeld!
It's a known fact, stand-up comedian Jerry Seinfeld is a big long-time Superman fan.
In fact, so much that mostly all Seinfeld (the TV series) episodes contain a Superman reference, be it visual, audible or alluded to.
Well, back in 2002-03 Seinfeld wrote and starred in various several "webisodes" ads for American Express.
These Adventures of Seinfeld & Superman as they were called were then compiled in two little "short film commercials" later on and even aired on TV.
They're fun little videos in typical Seinfeld fashion, showing Jerry hanging out with his pal Supes (voiced by none other than Patrick Warburton) and directed by Barry Levinson.
Superman is of course (?) hand drawn, in 2D! Very reminiscent of the old Golden Age Superman cartoons.
The little drawn inter-segments (the title cards with the text) were also done byTy Templeton
Check those out!
A Uniform Used to Mean Something...:
Check out that Ty Templeton's Seinfeld at the end! Ha! XD
Hindsight is 20/20:
Funny, random.
Sure, it's meant for a commercial, but it can be genuinely fun nonetheless!
Be sure to also drob by the official website just for fun. It's interactive!
They just don't make these sort of ads anymore...
