Remember Gorillaz?
Good times...
If like me you wonder what happened to them, it seems they only released 1 new song this year - a single to promote the Gorillaz-branded Converse shoes -
But no new album was announced.
Instead they're currently on a "hiatus" officially, both co-creators (that's by Damon Albarn and Jamie Hewlett if you wanna ask) of the virtual band had a fallen out. And that, I quote "future Gorillaz projects were "unlikely"."
Aww...
Anyhow, here's how the Gorillaz looked in 2012!
On one hand, UGH. CGi! I preferred them in 2D! (ha!)
On another: Dayum! That's some shiny pretty 3D models! Amazing!
And whatever you think of it, that was yet another reason for the disbanded of the fake group. Here's another quote, Albarn felt that "we were at cross purposes somewhat on [Plastic Beach]" and that the visuals were not matching the music very well". 'nuff said!
In the meantime just watch the cartoon Motocity and pretend it takes place in the same "universe"! XD
