#Gaming NEWS! Friday the 13th: The Game on Kickstarter

After the announcement of a possible Friday the 13th: The Game from original creator Sean S. Cunningham a few months ago to tie into the upcoming Friday the 13th TV show and new theatrical movie, we now learn they ran into some trouble and need our help...!

The game is going to be an "asymmetrical" experience, 7 players vs. 1, and planned to be released on PC, PS4 and Xbox One. The idea is to have a super strong invicible slasher Jason go against a bunch of camp counselors characters. Survive or be killed.

They apparently also had plans for single-player campaigns based on the different Friday the 13th films. Which sounds... ambitious to say the least, but wait and see. The problem is that Gun Media, the developers, just lost their publsihing partner. So now the game is on Kickstater asking for $700,000!

Check it out!

The project is slowly taking off as I write these words.

They will get Kane Hodder in this, somehow. (Since Jason doesn't really talk much.. are they giving him a secondary character to voice or just motion capture??) And Tom Savini to help come up with some creative kills.

The game was originally planned for an Halloween 2015 release, but they can't make that release date no more. Now it's aimed for a fall 2016 release.
