While people only seem to have Star Wars in mind, there's also a new Star Trek coming up soon, next year.
Here's the first teaser to the first J.J.Abrams-less Star Trek, written by no less than Simon Pegg! It's called Star Trek Beyond:
If anything, this looks like a return to adventure! Let's hope unlike Abrams' films it relies a bit less on nostalgia (old Spock used for no reason aside from fan service, old plot and old enemies recycled, etc.) and more on new ideas to actually offer us something new!
Star Trek Beyond will be released on July 22nd, 2016.
