#MovieNEWS The Silence | Official Trailer [HD] | Netflix

You liked the surprise hit horror film A Quiet Place, where monsters could hear you so you have to be silent to stay alive?

You enjoyed the slightly derivative Bird Box, where monsters could attack your mind if you saw them, so you had to close your eyes to stay alive?

Well, coming to Netflix this month, here's a movie where monsters will kill you if they see you... and I'm starting to see a pattern here...

The Silence is coming to Netflix this month.

While, yes, the film's actually based on a 1999 novel, it certainly looks quite different from its original source material already, a different take from the Tim Lebbon novel for sure. I feel like Netflix put it into mention after the early reception/announcement of A Quiet Place. Also this clearly looks like a mix of Quiet Place with Bird Box so far.

The film is directed by John R. Leonetti (Annabelle), and will be released April 10.

Here's the trailer:

It also reminds me somehow of the original Riddick, Pitch Black....
