Gamin' NEWS! Tekken Tag 2

More news coming in, straight from this year's Tokyo Game Show!

Namco just announced Tekken Tag Tournament 2!

It will be a sequel to the "dream match"-type of game Tekken Tag on the PS2. Which, I might had, is one of my favorite Tekkens ever!
It will use Tekken 6 engine and use the systems and mecanics of Tag 1.
Meaning 4 characters on screen, combo moves, tag attacks, etc.. and many characters from past and current Tekken games, ignoring who's dead and who isn't.

Here's the trailer:

That makes quite a lot of Tekken games announced lately, for a series Namco said that was taking a break after Tekken 6...

  1. The last screenshot, from the artstyle and visual, seems to come from this game's ending/prologue cutscenes. Tekken games often have the story told with artwork instead of animated CGi cutscenes. (expect some video at the end of each arcade mode)

i'll watch the development of this game with interest!
Because I love the Tekken franchise, but I was very disappointed by the sixth episode and I hope that this chapter will be the first true next-gen tekken of good quality

This Tekken Tag 2 will be the real new HD Tekken!
    (Tekken 6 was a 2006-7 game)
