And here's more pictures from the making of The Avengers live movie!
Looks like they're all having a blast making it!
Loki's there too? Ooooh!
It kinda looks silly, without the movie's photography and no effects/filters, but I'm getting a sense that the Avengers are actually coming to life finally!

ComicPageOfTheWeekend: You... listen to Steisand?
I've been really enjoying reading all these ol' post-Crisis Green Lantern issues up to Kyle Rayner's run as last GL in the galaxy. The writing was consistently pretty good and there some real gems like these scenes featuring the GL family...

Booster Gold comparision - Smallvile/New 52
Woow! Call me slow or whatever, but I just noticed Booster Gold's appearance in the "New 52" relaunch-thingie is pretty similar to his Smallville interpretation!
See?
Shouldn't we start calling him Booster Blue now instead?
(a little line mentioning Ted Kord!Blue Beetle as inspiration for the new look wouldn't have hurt either!)

Gamin' NEWS! New Onechanbara game!
What, you don't know what these are?
It's a long running franchise of hack 'n' slash games from the lil' japanese developer D3 Publisher.
You know when you look at video games these days, and you call some of the titles AAA-games, and the smaller budget games. Well, D3 is known for producing even less expensive games.
They've been known mostly for their "Simple 2000 Series" back on the PS2 days.
Which was a series of very cheap games, that still play moderately well, and were at least fun enough.
Because that's what's important at the end of the day. Games are meant to entertain.
So what if they don't all look like blockbusters?
D3's been king of the B-movie-like genre of video games. They even produced some pretty good ones (including my all-time fav, Splatter Action).
And now they're gonna have a new Onechanbara!

Sonic NEWS! 'Generations' Collector Edition
Sonic Generations will have a special edition. And what a collector it is! :D
SEGA already released plenty of Collectors over the last couple of years.
Most of the time exclusive to Europe (don't "BOOH" on me, it's because of the people who buy them in the first place, it seems they sell poorly in the US usually, so Sega prefers to skip them there...).
But this is a first for a Sonic game!
This 20th Anniversary special edition (will join my 10th Anniversary edition of Sonic Adventure 2 on the Dreamcast and) will be released on November 4 for the HD systems.
(and later for the 3DS)
It will feature an special limited release of the game, "free" DLC (I'm betting an extra level for retro Sonic from the looks of it), a figurine containing both retro and modern-Sonics, a (numbered) Gold Ring, an artbook, a documentary "The Story of Sonic" and finally the Sountrack itself! (let's hope it will be as good as usual Sega quality~)
But not this game's OST, but one featuring songs from across the franchise...which is kinda in fact the sountrack of this game to begin with...!
And it seems there will be a simpler cheaper Special Edition too with just the DLC-stuff.

Jimmy Kimmel - The Incredible Hulk
Here's another awesome clip/parody from Jimmy Kimmel.
This one's from a while ago, but I noticed I never posted it on the blog.
The Incredible Hulk, with a twist! (and Guillermo!)
Wow! That was intense!

Deleted Scenes - DC Super Friends
Speaking of TV series today, you know Batman: The Brave and The Bold's got canceled to make way for another Batman show, this one will be grittier to tag along the upcoming 3rd Christopher Nolan movie, right?
Well, at some point earlier this year (or in 2010) DC thought they had to replace Brave and the Bold by another old school yet watchable by a young audience-cartoon.
Thus we almost ended up with....

DC SUPER FRIENDS!!
Hey Eyz! Whatcha gonna watch this season? -2011-12 Edition-
It's time for this year's planning of TV shows.
To watch or not to watch... Following one show too many...?
Well, I can't answer that to you. Some believe there's good and bad shows out there. I simply say, to each their own. Sure, reality TV continue to survive for example, despite how bad it's gotten over the years, but it still is watched by Billions of people (with an Uppercase 'B') over the world! You can't judge the quality of a show by its rating, that's what producers do. Just look what you think will entertain you!
I can decide for you, I don't know what you guys and gals like. So here is like last year my own selection, the TV series I will watch for the 2011-2012 season!

CBR Green Arrow & Speedy: Secret Origins
I've been readings lots of Mike Grell's Green Arrow run lately.....and then I noticed -
I already talked about some Green Arrow origin stories (Year One and Year One again) but not of Grell's own classic (and mostly definitive) revisited origin!!
(note: the modern 2007 Year One was mostly based and expanded upon Grell's take, it doesn't retcon it but adds upon it)
So here's yet another origin story for the Emerald Archer!

The Legend of Zelda - Theme song!
You might have seen me do a lot of Zelda parodies lately... Here's one and one more.
Well, checking out some good ol' Zelda material had me thinking about the series....
Anyway, since I posted the intro of the old Mario cartoon not long ago, I wanted today to also post the Zelda cartoon intro now!
Here it is, in all its full HD glory nonetheless!
Say want you want, don't make your own opinion if you don't want to and follow some generic popular internet rants instead, you mindless sheep, you!... but speaking from facts.. this cartoon was actually pretty good.
Sure, it gave a personality to Link, which you might not like...
But the cartoon for an early adaptation, was pretty faithful. And fun. And had adventure!
It's not your NES Link, mind you... It was like in most games, just another incarnation of Link (and Zelda, and Ganon). The Princess even used to kick ass most of her screen time (which can't be said much of the in-game Zeldas...no, Sheik!Zelda or Tetra-Zelda *late-spoiler alert!* don't count!! I'm speaking of the Zelda-Zelda character!!)
And everything from the ambient music to the sound effects, character designs and plots contributed to the Zelda atmosphere...which can't be said much of other 80s/90s cartoon adaptations.. (Captain N, Karaté Kid, Rambo, etc...to name but a few other adaptations from the same era)
And, excuuuuuuuuse me, but I actually liked this Link!
He kinda suffered from what I call "Venkmanisation", which is a trend, following the successful Ghostbusters cartoon, which consisted in turning all main characters in kids cartoons into Peter Venkman, with all his characters traits from design/hair style/comportement/lazy attitude. See Captain Plane or James Bond Jr. for other examples! XD

"DC The New 52!" logos
The guys over at the comics alliance had a lot of fun going through and reviewing each of the logos from DC's upcoming revamped lineup.
Check it out! It's pretty funny :P
Man..are some of those logos pretty bad.. And I'm speaking as someone who's had graphics & visual communications lessons (and the diploma that goes along).
Funny though, the Superman and Green Lanterns family of logos won't be changed! ha!

JLI #1 *Cover fixed
I was kinda bored today, so I decided to "fix" the cover of the upcoming relaunched Justice League International.
They took out
Okay, so it's kinda silly :P
Not because of the way I drew Ted Kord, but because I didn't fix Booster's awful costume...
UPDATE!
Okay so I ended up fixing Booster Gold as well:
I should stop right here, or I'll end up fixing Tora!Ice as well, adding the Elongated Man, Captain Marvel too, and....

STAR WARS - All 3 original movies, AT THE SAME TIME!!
Here's....something unusual for today.
It's all 3 Star Wars movies... playing simultaneously, side by side! °___°
I wouldn't recommend watching this all the way through, but skipping bits and checking out some scenes...it's funny to notice how pwerfectly synchro some moments are mirrored from a movie to another.
I specially love the opening of both A New Hope and Return of the Jedi, how perfectly synchronized they are.
Neat find! Check it out:
Now, can someone make the same with all 10 Friday the 13th/Jason Voorhees movies? XD

Gamin' NEWS! that other Aliens game
So, some Aliens, probably even some of you guys, are awaiting for Aliens: Colonial Marines for Xbox 360, PC and PS3, right?
But surely, not a lot of you know that there's another Aliens game coming up for around the same time.
This one called Aliens: Infestation and developed by WayForward Technologies! (also getting published by Sega)
Now, WayForward is a company I really dig. They're one of the few studios left that is still able to work with beautiful 2D sprites, and make some great fun arcad-ysh titles. And I'm not speaking of all the lousy flash-like games people rush on the Xbox live or for Iphones, I'm speaking of beautifully animated real sprites, old school! Their more mainstream titles include Contra 4 or that DS Thor tie-in game.
But I prefer to mention their awesome gorgeous A Boy and His Blob remake on the Wii, Batman: The Brave and the Bold – The Videogame or Shantae.
This Aliens game is done like your typical old school 16-bits action shooter. Some call it a throwback to the Contra series.
I prefer to say, it looks similar or even inspired by that old awesome Alien 3 game.
It is set for September 30. (in most countries)
Here's some gameplay:
ALIENS: INFESTATION par SEGA
You'll be able to recruit and play as a bunch of various Marines through the game. The goal will be obviously to face hordes of Xenomorphs, while traveling across memorable sceneries from the movies such as the USS Solaco and more!

Okay... he doesn't really defeat them that much, as it looks more like he runs away from them.
But better free than captured, am I right? Flee to fight another day!
Goes to show the Taskmaster isn't simply a C-listener, and he's more one of the few "guys" of the Marvel U than is able to hold his own against some of The Avengers themselves!
