#FanFilm Friday - Y: The Last Man: the fan film

Here's something pretty impressive for this week!

While the actual live movie adaptation of Brian K. Vaughan and Pia Guerra's apocalyptic thriller comic book Y: The Last Man has been in development hell for almost a decade some fans took it in their hands to make their own live adaptation of this classic Vertigo Comics series.

From what I've read, the latest rumors says it might by Louis Leterrier (Transporter, Incredible Hulk) that might make the movie. He seems to prefer if it was a TV series, but the studio is pushing for a movie instead.
Cramming all this epic into a 2 hours story?...mmmh.. I don't like the sound of that, and a movie series could only work if they're successful enough for a big studio. (and making it a big simple blockbuster might lose a lot in translation as well...)

Anyways,
That didn't stop these guys at IGN from trying to adapt the series into this following fanfilm
Here's a synopsis for those of you that might have missed this classic:
"A mysterious plague has wiped out all men on the planet, and women are left to pick up the pieces of society. The only surviving man is Yorick, an amateur escape artist who is the key to the continual survival of the human race. Special Agent 355 is tasked to protect his life at all costs. Luckily, she's really good at her job..."
This might have been produced with no profit but it certainly looks amazing!
Directed and Written by Christian Cardona

Very, very nice!
I loved it!
I could imagine an actual on-going show much in the same vein as The Walking Dead TV series.
