I know that most of the Super Dictionary was copied from comics of the approximate period, but that disembodied Wonder Woman head looks surprisingly off the DC model of the 70s. I wonder where it came from. (Maybe the answer will come to me in a dream.)
Wasn't most art done by Joe Kubert and/or his assistants/students? Like the cover was from him, but more than half the book by beginning artists? Anyway, that's what I've read..
This head looks like a mix of the old school 50s WW and the 70s one.. Probably a rushed job!
The book's art credits: Darby Homes (Art Director), Ruth Weiss (Production Coordinator), Kenneth Feduniewicz, Patricia Kearney, Barbara Remington, Wendy Walker, and Nevin Washington. Kubert gets a "special thanks" for the cover, but gets no credit for interior art. I would like some concrete confirmation that the "Art Group" came from the Kubert School before I believe that rumor.
