In case you didn't knew, yes, this is a thing. The film will be produced through Ubi's new film branch, Ubisoft Motion Pictures. It appears the film is boringly simply titled "Assassin’s Creed: The Movie". I was honestly expecting a subtitle or something. Does this mean it will be directly based on the first game of the series? I was expecting another tale in the same universe...
The Assassin’s Creed movie will be directed by Macbeth director Justin Kurzel. And the film might be quite similar to this Macbeth (which is getting a lot of good reviews btw), the film will also star Macbeth leads Michael Fassbender and Marion Cotillard. Will be get to see Desmond from the first few AC games back?
This Assassin’s Creed will be released next year on December 21, 2016.
