I'm hoping for some surprises to be announced at that event.
Anyway, I will be following the event from various gaming websites, being in Europe far away, etc..
Let's have a little recap of some new stuff of the day.
But first, a little "movie-related tidbit".
There's a little sneak peak at the new Marvel coming soon Movies posters floating around the web.
Well, more the fonts/logos used for both movies than the entire posters.
I like those! They stay true to the original comics while having that little "shiny movie logo" look going on.
The Cap' movie changed title once more, it's now "Captain America: The First Avenger"...
Okay, that's all for movies this time, gaming now!
It is now offically confirmed that Dreamcast games will be made available for the current gen through their online downloads...
Excellent news for new players.
But not really interessant for gamers like me who probably already own both Sonic Adventure and Crazy Taxi on the DC (the only ones announced for the moment).
Plus the DC on an HD tv already looks pretty neat.
I'd say, bring on the more obscure games, give a chance to new gamers to actually play some underrated and less known original DC games! If they only release the more platform-released ones like Crazy Taxi, SA1&2, Chuchu rocket and even forgot to offer the online capabilities of most Dreamcast games... it will be such a shame :(
Finally the trailer to the new (last?) Mortal Kombat game is available!!
Now, I know MK games don't have a good rep' with the current gamer generation.. but they aren't that bad!
They're just, not blockbuster games! They never were in fact...
The MK franchise is pretty fun, not perfect and mass loved from the mainstream audience, but it's fun!
And isn't the "fun" the main goal for entertainment?
Anyway, here's the trailer:
Duuuuuude!!
From what we know of the game.
-It will be a R Rated very gory new game! (MK vs DC was censored in America, but not in Europe :P)
-It will be played in full 2D like MK1to3 and not in 3D like MK4toMKvsDC
-Many combos, new fatalities and a more old school approach to this game
I'll guess this one will turn out pretty fun! Let's hope it sells well. The future of the franchise and Midway (now a part of WB games) is in this one!!
Do you remember Pac-Man anniversay, not long ago, when google changed their logo?
There's been mostly a positive reaction from that playable Pac-Man google logo.
But also some people who complaint because the game played and made noises and such... (you see, that type of angry joes who always complain about everything!...)
There's been a funny reaction, a complaint-phone video, around youtube lately.
Listen, funny story XD
Finally, a non-gaming news!
The Phantom is back!
That's right, that good ol' pulp comic-strip hero!
SyFy resurrected the Phantom for a 4-hour mini-series in two parts.
It will air in America on June 20 but is already available in some places in Europe on dvd (!!).
Wouldn't a masked Phantom be more recognizable marketable choice?
Here's the trailer:
It is supposed to work as either a little movie and as a future pilot, if it's successful enough, for a future new tv series!
So many superheroes shows lately...
Anyway, that's all for now!~
