Gamin' NEWS! Bat-Man! Dun dun dun dun dun dunnn Bat-Man!
After a long silence since it's announcement, there's finally some news on that new Batman game, you know, Arkham Asylum follow-up!
It looks like it will be called this time:
Batman: Arkham City.
First opinion on that: What a retarded name!
Oh well, couldn't they call it Gotham City simply? Ah it's right, people won't notice it's a sequel to Arkham Asylum that way...
Anyway...
The official website is up.
And Catwoman will be joining Bats in this game!
Nice!
Any hope for Nightwing? Batgirl? Robin?... Pwetty please?!
It looks like this game will be released for PC, Playstation 3 and Xbox 360 in fall 2011.
This time Bats will take on "Arkham City" which will be an improvised brand new maximum security prison constructed in Gotham City's heart.
Well, I don't like some of those ideas... Like why not have Gotham City available? Why another prison-metroid-esque game?
Anyway I loved the first one, can't wait for this new one! :P
It has become a bit overrated since it's released..but I liked the first one, not for its popularity but the effort that was made to truly make it feel like a Batman experience. Loved all the nods to the Batman comics, felt nice specially after so many Animated Batman games and movie ones...
I couldn't end up this post without the trailer that was made available at the Spike VGA '09, so here goes:
Looks like the Penguin, Blask Mask and some others are hinted in this... they better include some Bat-family characters too!!~

More locals... the game will be again centered around a prison, the brand new improvised Arkham City, so...
ReplyDeleteI liked the X-ray vision, but it's kinda true you played the game switchin' between both views all the time... Kinda annoying...
I really hope for Nightwing to appear in this game! Why?! BECAUSE he has to!!
