Sonic NEWS! Moar Sonic Generations stuff!

So the game's finally been officially announced!
What do we know of it so far?
Sonic Generations will explore all of Sonic's 20 years and history!

Only a retro classic Sonic and the current gen' Sonic will be available (to play with), but an appearance from past Sonic cast of characters has also been confirmed.

The game will cover most of Sonic's career from his retro 16-bits days, going through the 32-128-bits era of 3D experiments and Dreamcast, to finally the current era.
All levels have been said to be playable with classic or modern Sonic.
Classic Sonic's gameplay is all about momentum, spinballs, etc.. The sidescrolling segments.
Modern Sonic is more acrobatic, with gimmicky moves such as lightdash, homing attacks, etc.. This will cover the 2D-3D hybrid gameplay similar to Sonic Unleashed and Colours.
The music on Classic Sonic's stage will be classic, old school. (original Sonic 1 Green Hill theme for example) while modern Sonic's will feature remixes and more rock-ysh takes on them.
The story is about black holes, timewarps and time travel.
And this title will also run on Sega's Hedgehog Engine.

Here's some screenshots, looking great so far!

This game's definitively looking like a perfectly made Sonic CD, what that Mega-CD game really wanted to accomplish.
I can't wait!~
