Nintendo just announced a new Zelda game! Yay! (although I still have yet to play any new Zelda game released after Wind Waker...)
For now it has the temporary title of The Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past 2 (aka Zelda no Densetsu: Kamigami no Triforce 2 in Japanese). And it won't be a direct sequel. Rather it will feature a new incarnation of Link.
But it is taking place in the same world. (why? to cash-in nostalgia or because they were simply lazy/less creative nowadays?)
This new Zelda game will be available for 3DS. It's a new 3D Zelda seen from above, like the recent DS Zelda games. And Link will be able to turn into a 2D character to explore and access new places. Yeah, turning into a drawing, it's a gimmick not that far from the Paper Mario series.
Too gimmick-y or not... We'll see later on. At least it looks nice.
Here's the video announcement:
Could be a Zelda game worth buying, finally!
ReplyDeleteWell, it looks like Zelda 3 all over again with gimmicks. I'll stick with my SNES.
