Gamin' NEWS! Splatterhouse 4!

The new Splatterhouse is coming up soon!

In case you didn't knew, I'm a big fan of the series :P

Here's two new pics of this game that has changed a lot during its production and has been delayed almost as many times as Duke Nukem Forever (it was supposed to be finally out this Halloween...but has been again delayed... :( )

Monster Rick is back!!

What we do know about the game?
- It will be out in Nov.23 for the USA and in Dec.17 in Europe (WHYYYYY!?! WHYYYYY!!!!)
- It will have an easy mode for beat 'em all newcomers. Called Coward mode. (originally it was going to be the Pussy mode...huhuhu...)
- Storywise, it will be like Evil Dead 2, as in a pseudo remake followed by a sequel, sort of 2-parters. Rick and Jennifer find the house, she gets kidnapped, demons, monsters, the evil one resurrection, monster Rick...etc...
- It will keep all the ideas from Splatterhouse 3 as in exploration of the house, power ups.. Plus light platforming sidescrolling sequences similar to the first Splatterhouse.
- It will contain the 3 original real Splatterhouse.

What we do not know yet?
-Will this release date be the real definitive date? Probably not... So many delays... Ugh...
- Gameplay style? Just beat 'em all? Something more complexe?
- Will the mask turn out to be....? *spoilers* like in Splatterhouse 3's ending..?
- How long will the game be? Any replay vallue? (unlockable stuff...? skins to play other Ricks?)
- Multi? (I'd like some sort of Co-op for this game personally, even if the original ones didn't have it... Maybe someone controlling a chibi super-deformed Rick?)
- Returning monsters? Old bosses? Basically if it will have old throwbacks and references!

The music will be metal.
I've nothing against it, though I hated it in Prince of Persia: Warrior Within... it was totally out of place and ruined the persian mood.
Here? It could work! If it's catchy and half as good as this fan made remix:

  1. But gory, in a sort of over the top/funny way. Like Evil Dead.

Not like some serious gritty gore <- that is plain bad.
