David Lynch teased it yesterday. Some time earlier this year, Ray Wise (Leland Palmer) hinted at being doing something Twin Peask-related soon. And they finally confirmed it via this video:
AWESOME! One of the best shows it about to come back!
"Showtime has given the green light to a nine-episode revival of David Lynch and Mark Frost’s seminal ’90s drama series […] sources confirm that Lynch and Frost are poised to pen all nine episodes, with Lynch directing every installment." (x)
It's announced as a continuation AND NOT A REBOOT! Which is great! From the same creative team. Hopefully they'll be able to get most of the original cast as well. It's a limited series too, so no silly fillers and one single storyline to tell, not stretching it out for no reason. Taking place in modern day (about two decades since the end of the series).
This "Season 3" is announced as a limited series on Showtime to start airing on June 10, 2016. 25 years to the day of the series finale, to mark the 25th anniversary of the show!
Dear Twitter Friends… it is happening again. http://t.co/r0l9rhK4eB #damngoodcoffee
