I'd like a BttF game to be as faithful to its original material as Ghostbusters has been, as fun as good LucasArts adventure games and as fun/comic/creative/fresh and modern as recent Bill Tiller games!

ReplyDeleteI knida think it ruins adventure games' gameplay/purpose. Like if you're stuck in a fps against a boss or in a platformer in an harder section you wouldn't want the game to "play it for you", would you? It would go against the game mecanics, help you surmont the challenge not by yourself and shorten' the game's "lifespan".
Usually when I get stuck in an adventure game, I simply... just get stuck. Like you can't find out/solve a little detail in the game...so you put it aside, let it get out of your head (because when you're stuck in this kinda game it's usually because you can't quite make something out of your current problem).
ReplyDeleteThen one week later, go back to it, with a cleared mind and fresh eyes and most of the time the solution will present itself while your re-checking your whole situation.
