#TGS2018 『MONKEY KING: HERO IS BACK（仮称）』 TGSトレーラー

There's an upcoming new video game adaptation of the Monkey Kin/Journey to the West. And it aactually looks... pretty good!



It's actually based on a recent animated film.

Probably the best looking Chinese game I've seen in a long while! Love it!

#TGS2018 SAMURAI SHODOWN (2019) - Announce Trailer! (60fps/1080p) ⛩

Right off the recent release of SNK Heroines: Tag Team Frenzy, a fanservice "mod" using the last King of Fighters title, SNK announced now a proper modern new take on one of their beloved older series.

A brand new Samurai Spirits/Samurai Shodown reboot of sorts!!



And for the first time I'm glad to say this new 3D fighter from SNK does actually look absolutely AMAZING! Gorgeous even!!

Compared to the past 3D titles, even though I liked those, it does look and feel similar to the original 2D titles for once.

Please announce Iroha, SNK!!

Coming to PS4 in 2019.

#TGS2018 Space Channel 5 VR

Space Channel is coming back in Space Channel 5 VR, a VR update coming to the PS4!

I feel like replaying SC4 anyways!

#TGS2018 Project JUDGE | Trailers

Here's a brand new title from the creators of the Yakuza game series, just announced at this year's Tokyo Game Show!

The game will apparently still be set in the same Yakuza universe, even featuring some crossover characters, but instead of playing as a criminal organization you will get to play the lawful good heroes. A lawyer turned detective to save people from organized crime.



It will feature a similar action-RPG gameplay and exploration. Titled Project Judge for now.



Our main character is played by and modeled after an actual Japanese actor, Takuya Kimura.

Sounds good to me!

#GamingNEWS The Dark Pictures: Man of Medan | The Sinking City

Two awesome looking horror games were just announced for the PS4.

 First up a nice-sounding Lovecraft game, there hadn't been any new one in a long while. The Sinking City. Strangely this one reminds me of Murdered Soul Suspect, a small horror-ysh title. Maybe it's gonna be similar in tone and style, even with the simple graphics and gameplay. I'd be fine with that.



And the second sounds pretty great. It's the new game from the Until Dawn/Hidden Agenda crew. This time it's going to be an anthology series of small budget-priced titles, called Dark Pictures. The first episode is called... Man of Medan! Check it out:



Looks like we'll have to wait a year, both are set to be released around august next year.

#FightingNEWS at EVO'18

Some great news came out at EVO regarding some of my current favorite fighting games!

First up, after all this time TEKKEN 7's finally getting some new characters! Including 2 classic characters, 1 guest and 3 new faces later on. Here's the Season Pass 2 Reveal featuring.... the very random addition of Negan from AMCs The Walking Dead!



With Harada you never know what to expect... but you can always guess what he's currently into. He used to love the manga Gon back in the 90s, and was totally into Final Fantasy XV last year. Looks like he loves The Walking Dead series...

Street Fighter V randomly got two new characters today, after Ono's surprise playful announcement at the event, newcomer "G" and old school Sagat!





And since Base Goku & Vegeta are joining Dragon Ball FighterZ this Wednesday, August 8th, they also announced the arrival of the new character, Frieza's own non-canon brother, Cooler!

#SDCC2018 ALITA BATTLE ANGEL Trailer 2 (2018)

You know what, this Gunnm/Alita Hollywood adaptation does actually look kinda promising and faithful, all things considered. The punk tone seems to have been altered for a more generic scifi-ysh style. But I dig it. Still not sold on the huge CGi eyes, I'm sure they could have easily done without those giant bug eyes...



I'm not sure I like the the Last Order/Mars Chronicles bits added to the original Gunnm/Alita story...

Ash vs Evil Dead is no more. Thankfully, we still got Stan Against Evil to have fun with some silly B-movie horror comedy nonsense on a regular basis. And Season 3's looking amazing by the looks of this trailer!

#SDCC2018 The DCEU is looking.. slightly better?

Warner Bros. showed us where the DC Entertainment Universe's heading off. And you know what? Things are looking far better than last year.

First up Aquaman looks dope! Like Man of Steel, Batman V Superman and JLA should have been. Action-packed. Colorful but serious. In one word: epic!



I knew James Wan could pull off a better DC Comics-inspired movie. Look at BLACK MANTA!!!!!

But then they showed a funny, epic, hilarious and fantastic take on SHAZAM! It's silly, goofy but also adventurous and self-aware. That's how you do it!!




I didn't believe in Zachary Levi and director David F. Sandberg at first (yet another horror director, like Wan!) But they did it!! NICE WORK! Alright I finally wanna watch DC films on the big screen.

OK KO is getting yet another epic crossover episode, only this time it will be even crazier than the Captain Planet one last time!

That's right, this time it will be an all-out crossover with characters from a bunch of show including Raven from Teen Titans Go, Garnet from Steven Universe and Ben 10!

I kinda stopped watching Arrow a couple of years back, but it seems the new season will actually adapt the scrapped Green Arrow movie "Super Max". That's right, Oliver Queen's going to jail in the next season!



Sounds cinematographic! Will Captain Cold and Heatwave "Prison Break" Ollie out of jail??

Finally a full trailer for Matt Groening's upcoming show, Disenchantment! It does look pretty good so far. Maybe a tiny bit too much SFX for my tastes. But I dig the Futurama in a fantasy setting-tone so far.



Disenchantment premieres August 17.

#SDCC2018 DC Universe streaming trailers

Warner Bros. properly announced the upcoming DC-themed streaming services. And what better way to do this than with an pretty bland dark 'n' gritty Teen Titans show called TITANS:



"FUCK BATMAN!" So edgy... sigh... Look at those sad adapted characters... And then they followed up by showing the new YOUNG JUSTICE: OUTSIDERS season coming exclusively to the platform (they should have opened with that right away):



Much better. At least with this and all the vintage Batman 66 show it might be kinda worth checking that out... maybe...
