Here's a new look at the very R-Rated Harley Quinn cartoon, which seems to aim for the Deadpool audience:

#CartoonNEWS HARLEY QUINN Comic-Con® 2019 Video: First-Look Preview
Harley Quinn's getting her own animated series! And it's "not for kids"! It's edgy! Look at how cool she is! You dig that, kids!? (Well, I can totally see kids loving it, just look at her fortnite dance-moves...) Sigh. These sort of modern cartoons make me feel old, somehow...

#FanFilmFriday JOKER (The Dark Knight) Vs JOKER (Suicide Squad)
These matchups crossover videos by ismahawk have been pretty fun so far.
One of their latest videos pitch the Joker, the Heath Ledger version from The Dark Knight, and Jared Leto's Joker from Suicide Squad against one another!
Check this out:
Nice impersonation on both sides!

#DC News! First pic of the cast of Suicide Squad
DC/Warner Bros. is well intended in catching up to Marvel/Disney. That's why their upcoming two films - the Man of Steel-sequel starring Batman aka "Batman V. Superman: Dawn of Justice" and the unexpected upcoming Suicide Squad film are both supposed to launch the entire DC Cinematic Universe, establish franchise and make some cash while they're at it.
And they've made sure of that by well putting Batman in the forefront of both films. While Dawn of Justice is becoming more and more a Batman vehicle - also starring Superman, Wonder Woman, Cyborg, Aquaman, etc - the Suicide Squad film can count on the Batman mythos as background and The Joker as villain. Speaking of, did I ever post that before?
No? Good. Because it's all kinds of awful. What an awful start - did the production seriously thought this would be a good first impression?
This above hot topic-version of The Joker? You can say at least it presents Mister J as more of a psychopath instead of a gangster (Jack Nicholson's style) or an anarchist (Heath Ledger). But then why not just call him M. Zsasz instead?? Also those tattoos are anything but scary. Silly. Cheesy. "Damaged", really? Sounds like something an angry emo teen would regret the next day... Look! "Hahaha", his tattoos' his laugh! So clever!! sigh...
But I digress.
Anyways - Warner just released the first official look at "Task Force X" aka the Suicide Squad. And... well, a picture's worth a 1000 words they say, so...
Adam Beach (Slipknot), Jai Courtney (Boomerang), Karen Fukuhara (what's Katana doing in this film!?), Cara Delevingne (Enchantress), Joel Kinnaman (Rick Flagg), Margot Robbie (Harley Quinn), Will Smith (Deadshot), Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje (Killer Croc) and Jay Hernandez (El Diablo).
They look... a bit cheap. I dunno... Say what you want, this is not a production pic, but an official promotional shot, something the studio choose to be our first look at this film. These guys look... direct-to-video-ysh...
Will Captain Boomerang even get some boomerangs? And that's going on with that The Asylum-esque Killer Croc!?!
Will Smith shared a better look at his Deadshoot costume on twitter:
Y...yeah. That's better... but still not doing it much for me.
Katana is certainly a surprise, her mask strangely looks quite similar to the one on Arrow (Aka: "cheap").
Harley Quinn looks so uninspired...
I suppose it's in-between Harley's New 52 Suicide Squad #1 generic punk look, her current "derby" look from her ongoing and one of the Arkham games. Which means we've completely finally lost the more traditional harlequin/jester look.
DC's been messing with Harley's appearance so much these last few years...
Well at least it sort of works next to this version of the Joker.. Look! They even got matching tattoos! Awww...
For some reason I kinda prefer the Arrow take on the Suicide Squad, which look slightly better and more "Hollywood blockbuster"-ified compared the above promo shot:
Sigh.. Now that's a Harley! (I don't care that she got cut from the episode!)

#Gaming NEWS! Teh Bat is back
And without anyone expecting it, whatsoever, Warner Bros just announced the new Batman game!
Titled this time Batman: Arkham Knight, thisGotham City "Arkham Knight" game will be the 4h episode, 3rd if you don't count the prequel Origins, and will be this time developed by its original studio, Rocksteady Studios.
I'm personally expecting Warner to announce next year another prequel/spinoff by Origins' team.
This time the plot will move forward again, following Arkham City and featuring the Scarecrow taking over the entiry Gotham City (only to reveal to be the Joker himself in disguise? nah.. just kidding... but expect the Joker to pop up somewhere... again!)
They did announce this title will be the last in the series (until Warner decides to release another one).
This time the Batmobile will be playable! Finally! About damn' time! But what with the plot of the city being evacuated, don't expect to see the streets filled of people finally... Sigh...
Villains confirmed so far are the Scarecrow, Penguin and Two-Face, while Harley Quinn will be playable this time, taking over Catwoman or Deathstroke from the previous games.. Harley? Really? What is she now, like an anti-hero?! Plus she seems to sport another random redesign. As "nice" as they've been so far, I really, REALLY miss Classic Harley... oh, well...
This time the game will be available only for PS4, Xbox One and PC on October 14. Finally a reason enough to upgrade to next gen? Looks more appealing than all the "next gen" titles so far. And it's a real gen exclusive as well.
Wait and see~
(expect decent story at the start but random Joker forced into the ridiculous ending)

CBR Dr Mid-Nite
I've always been a big fan of the underrated-type of characters. They often make for the most brilliant little stories everyone appears to ignore.
Since I haven't reviewed a DC Comics title in a while, here one right up my alley!
