#RIP Darwyn Cooke
I just learned one of my favorite comic book artists just died...
RIP Darwyn Cooke.
This year is starting to sound really bad. Not only did we lose David Bowie and Prince already this year, but now Darwyn Cooke passed away from cancer at only 53....
He did a ton of fantastic work I particularly love such as the fantastic DC: The New Frontier and the modern DC Comics The Spirit series which I adored.
He will be missed.
I'm still shocked, he was so young...
I didn't knew what to do, to celebrate this artist, so I'm just using this post as an excuse to post some of his best works.
If you didn't know the guy, take this occasion to check some of his work, his artwork is really well worth a look!

#RIP James Horner
One of my favorite composers just died...
James Horner, composer of countless classics such as Aliens or Wrath of Khan just died in a plane crash.
RIP James Horner.
The man was a legend. Another classic film composer that simply never received as much love as his contemporary such as John Williams or Danny Elfman - no disrespect to those two. He has been contributing to film history just as much, scoring movies since 1978. While his most famous score is perhaps the huge blockbuster classic Titanic, he also score for countless other different films, from animated films to modern hits, such as Star Trek II: The Wrath of Khan, Aliens, An American Tail, Apollo 13, Avatar, The Amazing Spider-Man and many more!
In memory of the man and his impressive body of work, here's a selection of a few personal favorites of mine:

CBR Rocketeer Adventures
Who is? Well, The Rocketeer, of course!
After IDW was able to work the rights with Dave Stevens (before his passing) and realized this gorgeous recolored deluxe edition of the original adventures of Cliff, they decided to give another flight to our rocket propelled hero.
Instead of making that long rumored new on-going series, they went into another direction.
Cliff would live many more new adventures, but as stand alone on shots through the voices and hands of various new artists.

And after the comic book, the movie!
In development simultaneously alongside the production of the 2nd Rocketeer comic book ("Cliff's New York Adventure"), it was mostly supervised under the eye of its creator Dave Stevens who wrote the basis for the adaptation, with a director - Joe Johnston - who wanted to make a great faithful adaption this character deserved.
