I need more dinosaurs in my life.
More dinosaur films, more dinosaur games.. just more dinosaurs all around.
Plus it's directed by Gareth Edwards , i kinda like the choice. he makes his films a bit more colorful than other directors, visually
i like what i see so far
despite taking place after Dominion, dinosaurs in the outside world, etc, it kinda seems to ignore the recent trilogy for a reason!
it is written by Spielberg's original writer David Koepp . so he's kinda just writing his Jurassic Park 4 in a way, following JP3 and the island with the Spino and lost labs, etc. it's the story he would have made back then.
Several years ago there was a survival horror JP game in development.. then it got canned... After Alien Isolation, another horror game was put in development, called Jurassic Park Survival. Then.. it got canned.
I'm not sure if this is still the same game, built upon the ideas of those previous two scrapped horror game, but we finally just got the random announcement of a new Jurassic Park: Survival coming next year!
This looks pretty good, there's some gameplay stuff at the end there... the dinos look fantastic! I CANT WAIT!!!

The new season of CAMP CRETACEOUS is looking pretty neat! And weird! And fun! But strange!
I like the continuation and exploration of the JP lore. The return of my favorite boi, the Spinosaur!
I don't like the overthly scifi look it's taking, is this the direction of the new JW films? Holograms and whatnot. Plus that weird Sabertooth there at the end...
It's official now, I guess. The Animaniacs are back. Spielberg is back and the original voice cast is (mostly) back. While only really the Warner Bros (and sister) and Pinky & the Brain are officially returning.
The modern digital animation style though? Honest? Not a fan. It works even more digital than most modern cartoons like, say, Adventure time, Steven Universe & co. Wait and see, I guess....
Starting with another Spielberg propriety is a nice touch. Even better timed with JP/Jurassic World finally having a realtively well-received animated series released not long ago, at the same time as this announcement.
I like the people working on the show, really. But I'm doubting the producers in charge to let the creatives be, well, creative. Only time will tell...
For long time JP fans, the Netflix animated series Camp Cretaceous turned out to be a nice surprise while we wait for the new film.
And already the (short) first season is behind us, a second one is already announced behind the corner. Check this out, there's plenty of intriguing new plots and little references in the new teaser for season 2:

Before Jurassic Park returns with the third and final Jurassic World movie, the franchise will return this september with a CGi animated series featuring kids tryin' to survive in a dino camp.
I expect this to be half-generic kid cartoon, half-Telltale Jurassic Park-sort of expanded material.

A new "Jurassic World the Ride " has just opened up in Universal Studios, Hollywood. And it looks pretty awesome. But then, give me dinos, I will always love it.

I'm sure it doesn't exactly give justice to the ride, these things are always better in person. And for the lucky ones able to try these rides, in the US, the original's still available in Orlando, apparently.
After decades of trying to get a Jurassic Park cartoon going, basically around each sequel (Lost World and Jurassic Park 3 almost got cartoons..), it seems Universal was finally able to get the ball rolling.
With the film series "coming to an end" in Jurassic Park 6/Jurassic World 3 in two years, executive producers Steven Spielberg and Colin Trevorrow will finally be lauching an animated series to round up the franchise and tie everything together.
It's called Jurassic World: Camp Cretaceous and it's aimed to Netflix next year in 2020.

I've been totally loving this Operation Genesis successor, Jurassic
World Evolution! It feels like I've waited for this game for so long in
my life....
So I ended up making up a mockup cover for it, since I own it on steam, as a digital release.

There's a sort of spiritual successor/remake/update of one of my all-time favorite Jurassic Park games, Jurassic Park: Operation Genesis, coming up, it's called Jurassic World Evolution!
And in my eyes its easily the best thing to come out of this Jurassic Park/World revival. I mean this should have been the Jurassic World tie-in, no Fallen Kingdom's!
It looks gorgeous and seems to have plenty of nods to the previous park building game, including dinosaurs that never appeared on films looking similar in tone and color.

More importantly, they actually announced the participation of Jeff Goldblum in the game!!
I now give this game officially 11/10 Goldblums!!!

Looks good! In a Lost World-kind of way! And I always love me some dinosaur movies (there's hardly any of those anymore nowadays...). I'm not a big fan how much this new trailer shows of the film and the fact it might probably have the exact same final act as The Lost World!

The new trailer ran during the Super Bowl. It finally gives us a better look at the upcoming as well as the entire film's plot. Also, there seems to be a new weird frankenstein-of a dinosaur. Check this out:
Since JW was mostly a rehash of JP, this one now seems to be a patchwork of The Lost World: "Going back to the island, trying to save dinosaurs, corporate meddling in their and making bad decisions for the whole group" type of plot. Plus we get Jeff Goldblum back for the occasion!
Yet I cannot wait to see dinos back on the big screen! The film's expected for a June 7 release date.
I honestly love what I'm seeing. More Chris Pratt is always fun, and the lovely Bryce Dallas Howard is also back. I love the fact they brought back Jeff Goldblum who's been basically everywhere since his return in Independence Day 2. And I also really like the whole Lost World-vibe this sequel is going for, which is much better than what I originally feared for the original Jurassic Park 3 and when they announced a sequel to Jurassic World. You know, the whole militarized dinosaurs part which was briefly alluded to in JW.
I've been seeing a lot of hate for Jurassic World and Fallen Kingdom online, lately. And I'm kinda sad.. because there's so little dinos on the big screen nowadays (not counting the few modern kaiju films we got neither).
I dig the whole volcano-part of the plot here, since it actually comes from the original book (under different circumstances, sure, but it's like when we got the aviary or the rapids in JP3). And if you've played a ton of JP games like myself back in the day, we're kinda used to seeing volcanoes on the island. Only instead of a random eruption at the end of the original story, the day the island went into its whole chaos theory-situation back in JP1, it is now happening years later. I'm fine with it.
I'm also glad we're finally seeing a "Carnotaurus" in one of these films, I only remember seeing those in a few IDW JP comics!
If you know me, you know I love dinosaurs. And that I miss the 90s dino craze... Why are dinosaurs completely extinct from our pop culture these days? Everything is spaceships and lazers nowadays.. Games.. comics... movies.. heck even TV shows..

This seems to have a Lost World 2/survival in the jungle-vibe this time. I'm still annoyed by the lack of a Mario Bros. title continuity in the sequel (you know, my whole thing with: Mario Bros./Jurassic Park, The Lost Levels/The Lost World, Mario Bros. 3/JP3, Mario World/Jurassic World, Mario World: Yoshi Island/Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom??? Why didn't they give us Fallen Island instead!! It would have been so easy!!!).
To be fair, Jurassic Park license and dinosaurs aside, I'd watch this for Bryce Dallas Howard alone (alright, Chris Pratt gets my ticket too).
Alright, finally a new Jurassic Park game to get hyped about! Those used to be my favorites way back when.
They just announced a brand new park simulation game, Jurassic World Evolution, which will basically be Operation Genesis 2. And for a good reason, they even got the developers behind the awesome Planet Coaster series! Check out the CGi trailer:
The game is expected for summer of 2018, right on time to tie-in with the next movie Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom. Jurassic World in Jurassic World Evolution will be released for PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One.
