The crossover from the Karaté Kid reboot and the post-Cobra Kai seasons Karaté Kid original series nobody expected is actually shaping up nicely. Although i find the plot a tad bit weird, with legend Jackie Chan seeking Ralph Macchio for help to train a kid. I feel like the opposite would have made more sense...
The movie does look nice, so color my hyped.
And HOLY MOLEY! New Cobra Kai trailer!! Season 3 will not be streaming on Netflix. And I've been waiting so long to hear news from this one:
But new/recent show. It hit all the right nostalgia notes, becomes so much more and something on such an epic scale (despite..well, actually being a nostalgic show about people doing karaté). And I love it! Can't wait! Was that Okinawa? Are we getting on Karaté Kid-sequels territory? Is there any chance to see some New Karaté Kid/Hilary Swank at some point? Can't wait!!!
I feel like I waited FOREVER to see the continuation of this most excellent show.
Cobra Kai's been everything I ever wanted from continuations of classic films. But only Cobra Kai's been doing it the way I wanted other franchises to do. Respect the past. Move forward into the future. Continue the classic stories and expand into new ventures.
Plus I really love the cast, they're clearly putting everything into these characters.
Cobra Kai moved from youtube to Netflix, but the quality is still here and didn't detract much from their original plans. Heck, I wish and hope Netflix gave them a bigger budget as well.
Can't wait for season 3! Okinawa, here we go!
