Rick and Morty is back for its fifth season starting June 20 on Adult Swim.

Strap in, folks. It's gonna be a short one. That's right, the show returns on november 10 for only 5 episodes!



It's actually a 10-episode season, but the remaining five episodes will come out sometime in 2020. And fear not, Adult swim already confirmed the show would air for a 70-episode run.

Matt Groening is not the only one looking to the past for his new cartoon. Genndy Tartakovsky is looking way further back to prehistoric times for his next show, Primal.

Wiith the success of his Hotel Transylvania films and Samurai Jack finally concluded with a final season on adult swim, Genndy finally has some time to create a new show with a new concept.



This looks like a return to his edgier 2-D animated style that made him so popular in the first place.

Here's the official pitch:

Primal features a caveman at the dawn of evolution. A dinosaur on the brink of extinction. Bonded by tragedy, this unlikely friendship becomes the only hope of survival in a violent, primordial world.

Sounds about right!

Primal will premiere this fall.
