Aside from whatever you might think, I kinda like Velma's (and only Velma's) design. Bring in the fanart, peeps!

Honestly the actual only complaint I have about all this is... there's no Scooby-Doo! Why make a Scooby-Doo show without Scooby-Doo? This could have been easily tweaked into any other vintage teen team mystery solvers, like for example "The Archies"!

There's been several animated Scooby-Doo feature films over the decades. There's even been various live action Scooby-Doo films, theatrical or not. But this is the first CGi 3D animated Scooby-Doo theatrical film!

And it actually... looks great! (Except Freddy.. such a downgrade from Mystery Inc., sigh..)

It's directed by Spike Brandt and Tony Cervone (the minds behind the excellent The Looney Tunes Show). The only thing I don't like is the change of voice actors, only Frank Welker returns as Scooby-Doo. The wouldn't dare replace him. But it's weird to finally replace the excellent Matthew Lillard who's been playing Shaggy nowadays since he first portrayed him in the first live action films. The rest is mostly comprised of actors and comedians, names such as Will Forte, Tracy Morgan, Ken Jeong, Mark Wahlberg, etc.



Loving the Blue Falcon in there, I wasn't expecting some crossovers!!

The new Scooby-Doo series has a pretty odd gimmick. But it certainly will help forget the bad Be Cool, Scooby-Doo!...

Titled Scooby-Doo and Guess Who? – it will feature a rotating cast of guest character, kinda reminiscent of the 1970s New Scooby-Doo movies. From a wide range of pop culture, historic and real-life figures! From Batman to Sherlock Holmes, Abraham Lincoln, Ricky Gervais, Mark Hamill, Weird Al and many more!

#DCComics NEWS! Hanna-Barbera New 52'd

Being part of the larger Warner Bros. company, DC Comics has always produced various comics based on several Hanna-Barbera Productions proprieties. Such as The Flintstones, The Jetsons, and Scooby-Doo Where Are You!

They announced a line of books rebooting various HB series for new generations.

So far these titles will include Scooby Apocalypse - a modern scifi take on Scooby-Doo, Wacky Raceland - a darker more mature iteration of the cheesy racing series, a pretty faithful comedy take on The Flintstones and Future Quest - a big epic crossover revolving around John Quest, Space Ghost, etc.

Actually this whole thing sounds pretty bad to be honest. Loonatics I mean, Scooby-Doo.. sigh.. Wacky Race sounds really awful though...

But that Darwyn Cooke cover of Johnny Quest & co looks ambitious. And I'll be frank I'm already sold on Amanda Conner's take of The Flintstones! This seems as fun as the original live action film, I like a slightly more realistic take on them if the universe is kept the same. Dat Betty though...

Alright, I changed my mind. I'll check some of the non-Scooby-Doo books.

Do you remember a fad back in the late 1980s/early 1990s when every cartoon seemed to revolved around baby versions of famous characters? After the Muppet Babies they kept churning out baby-versions like The Flintstone Kids, Tom & Jerry Kids, Tiny Toon Adventures - heck I'd even count The Rugrats to go after a similar subject.

After Scrappy-Doo ruined all the fun, somehow Hanna-Barbera thought what we really needed was to see Scooby-Doo as a pup.

This fun trailer for "Boomerang" that just aired in Asia contains some first looks at a bunch of upcoming new cartoons.

Including the new Wabbit Looney Tunes series, the new "Be Cool Scooby-Doo" series and even a new Inspector Gadget series!

New show or not, that Wabbit series certainly looks like it's coming from the people who made the recent Looney Tunes Show, glad to know that!

So apparently Warner Bros Animation announced a bunch of new shows for Cartoon Network.

Amongst those is a new take on the Looney Tunes - again!

Wabbit—A Looney Tunes Production!

As a long time Looney Tunes fan and big fan of the last iteration, I'm kinda looking forward to this. Even if there's not much to be enthusiastic for so far.

The new art style is still done by the same artist, although a bit more "wackier" it seems.

They said this "Wabbit" cartoon will

"consisting of comedic shorts that find the iconic carrot-loving rabbit matching wits against (and getting the best of) classic characters like Yosemite Sam and Wile E. Coyote."

Alright, I suppose. This will have more slapstick than the previous show, but I'm not expecting much considering what cartoon production consider "slapstick" to be these days... Wait and see? Also I'm not entirely feeling these new characters they're going to come up with...

On another hand, there's also a new upcoming Scooby-Doo cartoon...

Not really feeling the artstyle here... This looks like a parody take on Scoobs appearing on some other show (Ren & Stimpy? something like that..)
