#CapcomNEWS Resident Evil 4 + Street Fighter 6

Here's some pretty kickass trailers from the latest State of Play! And I gotta say, I like what we got to see.

First up, I can see why Capcom made RE Village and 4 Remake back to back. Looks like they might recycle some assets between games. And I dig it. I can't imagine a remake of RE5 or 6 after this (or make them proper single player puzzle-driven stories). So, why not go after Code Veronica next?

The new weirdly realistic Street Fighter looks pretty good actually.

#Blog Mega Man Wily War SE

I finally received the re-release of Mega Man: Wily War. One of the rarest and most expensive Pal/Jap Mega Drive releases, which finally received a new print of cartridges last year by Retro Bit (and other limited physical releases companies).

I actually had a custom repro made a few years ago, but it feels good to have this "Special Edition", filled with bonus content. Check it out!

#GamingNEWS Street Fighter 6 - Teaser Trailer

The second and big announcement from Capcom is simply a teaser for the upcoming Street Fighter 6!

Get Hyped!

Well, it's just a quick CGi teaser. But it confirms the game is in the works.

Personally I'd like a list of consoles, vague release window and/or list of characters, but HEY! We can't have it all! I like how default Ryu is the bearded one from SF5, like most of us presumed.

Oh, and I almost forgot: This new logo is AWFUL!! I hope it's a placeholder!! It looks like a bad "internet app" that has "6 unread emails"... Just use SF5's logo again updated with a 6. It was colorful and better than SF4. Better yet, bring an older logo back, like SF2 or 1 (!), it will look nostalgic and retro!

#GamingNEWS Capcom Fighting Collection – Announcement Trailer

Capcom just announced a few interesting things. First thing first, they're gonna release a "Capcom Fighting Collection". Basically this really is a Vampire/Darkstalkers collection with a few titles (check the vid at the end). All 5 major versions of Darkstalkers. Plus a Street Fighter, Red Earth, the two chibi games..

Check it out:

Are they preparing the audience for a new Darkstalkers??

#HorrorNEWS Resident Evil: Welcome to Raccoon City Trailer - Nightmare (2021) | Movieclips Trailers

The upcoming Resident Evil film reboot is looking pretty nice, so far. It actually seems to stick closer to the games this time (a mashup of the storylines of RE1 and RE2 it seems). But, I dunno, it's coming from the exact same production studios as the previous Paul Anderson films, so... wait and see!

The movie's coming on November 24.

#Blog JoJo's Bizarre Adventure DC

I gotta admit it... So I've been really into JoJo's Bizarre Adventure lately. Starting reading the manga. Checking stuff about the lore and all.

And I finally grabbed a copy of the Dreamcast JoJo's Bizarre Adventure game. A game I remember seeing several times in stores back around the DC days. I remember seeing the games a few times: when I bought Street Fighter 3 First Strike on its release day. During holidays in a supermarket in the gaming section. At the airport even.

But I never grabbed it since I wasn't particularly interested in JoJo's Bizarre Adventure back then..

..and now I kinda regret it, considering how much the Pal release costs nowdays.

Anyways, I grabbed the Japanese release recently:

I dig the story mode, it actually follows the manga pretty closely. Plus it looks gorgeous.

(Was this post a JoJo's reference?)

#Design - CustomCoverArt DC Resident Evil VIII, PC The Shore & MD Rouge the Bat In Sonic 1

Please! Do not ask for these! This was a personal job, not outsourcing the work to other people. If you want me to work out something for you, I will do so for money only.

Here's a few custom cover art I made this past month, for all kinds of reasons.

I saw this fantastic render of Ethan from Resident Evil and I knew I had to make a mockup for the Dreamcast as well.

I love me some H.P.Lovecraft-inspired games. Here's a mockup I did for a recent Steam release.

One of my favorite Sonic 1 hacks, the Rouge sprite is juste super cute. I got a custom repro cartridge, so I decided to make a cover for it.

As usual, comments disabled here to avoid the spam I get on these.

#GamingNEWS Mr. Driller DrillLand - Launch Trailer - Nintendo Switch

Did you know there's a new Mr. Driller coming up? Now that's what I call gaming news! Keep your dark depressing "AAA" bullcrap for you.

The sequel/spinoff series of the classic Dig Dug's getting a new installment, Mr. Driller DrillLand!. on the Switch!

And it looks pretty nice so far:

I'm ordering the Japanese physical release, for sure.

#GamingNEWS Resident Evil Village - Announcement Trailer | PS5

New console, new Resident Evil! A long rumored RE4-style village-set new RE was rumored online. And this feels like it's the RE7 sequel Capcom's been working on. Only they officially announced it/titled it Resident Evil Village, somehow.

Revealed at the end of Sony’s PS5 reveal, storywise it's definitively RE8. As in a sequel to 7, with the first person presentation and all.

Chris loves coming back at the end of these things. And with a brand new face each time... (I miss Stars/RE1 Chris... sigh..)

So I guess we'll get two village-set RE games back to back (this and RE4Remake!). Looking great, but werewolves?... Wait and see...

#GamingNEWS Project Resistance Gameplay Overview

And suddenly a random new multiplayer Resident Evil emerged...!

Nothing much is known about it. But if it falls anywhere inbetween Operation Raccoon City (okay-ysh) and Umbrella Corps (reaaaally bad)... God helps us.

You knows guys, this is all your fault, all of you who wished for Outbreak remakes. I'd rather have a Nemesis/Code Veronica remake or RE8 instead.

"Project Resistance". The only good I can gather from this first preview look, is that it does look gorgeous.

The game's gonna be another one of these “asymmetrical co-op experiences”. A 4-vs-1 multiplayer game. Survivors against a "Nemesis Mastermind"

They’re running a beta right now in Japan. No release date so far, but it is expected to hit the PS4, Xbox One and Steam.

#MusicBOX Della's Moon Lullaby | DuckTales | Disney Channel

In a world of cheap remakes and reboots, it's still surprising we got something as good as the new DuckTales.

I need to catch up on the recent episodes.

But I just love the way they integrated the fantastic Moon stage song from the classic NES game:

Into the new cartoon:

#GamingNEWS Resident Evil 2 - Story Trailer (TGS 2018)

Here's a new trailer for the upcoming remake of Resident Evil 2 - and I still find it stunning. I love how the series' gone back to its horror roots - thanks RE7!

#FightingNEWS at EVO'18

Some great news came out at EVO regarding some of my current favorite fighting games!

First up, after all this time TEKKEN 7's finally getting some new characters! Including 2 classic characters, 1 guest and 3 new faces later on. Here's the Season Pass 2 Reveal featuring.... the very random addition of Negan from AMCs The Walking Dead!

With Harada you never know what to expect... but you can always guess what he's currently into. He used to love the manga Gon back in the 90s, and was totally into Final Fantasy XV last year. Looks like he loves The Walking Dead series...

Street Fighter V randomly got two new characters today, after Ono's surprise playful announcement at the event, newcomer "G" and old school Sagat!

And since Base Goku & Vegeta are joining Dragon Ball FighterZ this Wednesday, August 8th, they also announced the arrival of the new character, Frieza's own non-canon brother, Cooler!

#E32018 Resident Evil 2 | E3 2018 PlayStation Showcase Trailer | PS4

WOW!! WOOW!!! I need this asap!!

Capcom finally showed how much they're actually remaking Resident Evil 2 with this new RE remake. And this is gonna be on a whole new level compared to RE1 and RE0.

Check this out, I CANT WAIT!!!!

LEON!!!!!!

(Also, check out the RE7-ified RE2 logo! Neat!!)

The game can't arrive soon enough, it's expected for January 25, 2019.

#E32018 Devil May Cry 5 - Announcement Trailer

So after comparing the sales between the HD re-releases of Devil May Cry 1-4 and Ninja Theory’s DmC: Devil May Cry, Capcom decided to return to the OG series and announce a . Devil May Cry 5! Check this out:

There's a quick cameo of the original Dante right there at the end. (Although I find Dante's successor to be quite reminiscent of nuDante. With a best of Dante's gameplay techniques.)

Game's coming up in spring 2019 for Xbox One, PS4 and PC.

#FightingNEWS Street Fighter V: Arcade Edition + 30th Anniv. Collection

Street Fighter V's getting a new season's worth of DLC characters, various tweaks to the main base game as well as an update, Street Fighter V: Arcade Edition, for those who waited this long to get into the game.

I like SFV, I really do. But I didn't get into it as much as I did SFAlpha or SFIII, personally. I even spent way more time in SFIV than SFV! I do like the game's visuals, aesthatics and gameplay. But I feel like there's a lot of my favorites that have been missing as well as the new system's not that unique or original.

Anyway, we're finally getting SF classics such as Sagat and Sakura! Great news, everyone!

Here's the announcement trailer:

WOW!! Sakura looks fantastic! I'm also glad Cody's finally out of his silly prisoner outfit, it didn't make sense to keep him that way forever.. (Damn' you, Ono, and your love for the Final Fight series!!!)

And since this year will also mark the franchise's 30th Anniversary, Capcom announced a Street Fighter 30th Anniv. Collection as well. Kind of like those Mega Man Collections recently, only with the most notable entries in the franchises: SF1 (finally, a personal fav getting some recognition!), SF2, Turbo, Alpha3 and Third Strike among many others! But those (aside from SF1) will even have online!! Personally I would have put SFEx3 and SFIV: Arcade Edition in there to have an actual complete edition. But that's just me.. Here's the trailer:

It will also include a ton of fun bonuses, like concept art and whatnot.

Can't wait to see SF get a proper revival next year!
