#HorrorNEWS CHUCKY Trailer (2021) SyFy Series

Here's the first proper trailer for the upcoming Don Mancini-produced Chucky trailer! Ignore the reboot, continue this long-running creator-owned horror franchise:

I like what we see so far! Going back to the roots. A simpler start, but we're promised a continuation of Curse and Cult (with the return of Fiona Douriff and co).

The show starts on October 12 on Syfy.

#MovieNEWS Cult Of Chucky - Green Band Trailer

YESSS!!!

The trailer for my most highly awaited horror film of the year - Cult of Chucky! - is out!!

Check this out:

After the great "reboot" the last film was (yes, it was technically a "sequel", but I'm saying a reboot in the simplest of form - to bring back Chucky, with a sort of-standalone story), this one seems to feature a lot more references and allusions to the previous films.

The film will be a straight-to-video release on October 3. Can't wait!!!

#HorrorMovieNEWS Cult of Chucky - Teaser Trailer

The year just started, and already we're getting a teaser for my most anticipated film of the year - sorry Star Wars!

Cult of Chucky - not a reboot, but an actually all-new sequel to this classic cult horror franchise! Here's the new teaser trailer:

The film's expected for this Halloween. And here's the official synopsis:

Confined to an asylum for the criminally insane for the past four years, Nica Pierce (Fiona Dourif) is erroneously convinced that she, not Chucky, murdered her entire family. But when her psychiatrist introduces a new therapeutic “tool” to facilitate his patients’ group sessions — an all-too-familiar “Good Guy” doll with an innocently smiling face — a string of grisly deaths begins to plague the asylum, and Nica starts to wonder if maybe she isn’t crazy after all. Andy Barclay (Alex Vincent), Chucky’s now-grown-up nemesis from the original Child’s Play, races to Nica’s aid. But to save her he’ll have to get past Tiffany (Oscar®-nominee Jennifer Tilly), Chucky’s long-ago bride, who will do anything, no matter how deadly or depraved, to help her beloved devil doll.

#HorrorNEWS CHANNEL ZERO Official Trailer

Alright, here's the trailer for my most anticipated new show, CHANNEL ZERO. Which will be an anthology creep-tastic horror series on Syfy. And since anthology shows never truly work with audiences nowadays (I blame Lost and 24 on that), they're going to go with a miniseries formart. 4, 6-episode long story arcs. And they're basically free to make as many episodes as they want.

I like this miniseries format. It should work great with horror stories. Kind of like what the Masters of Horror films did a decade ago, with potential for longer storylines and an ongoing narrative to keep the serialized format people love so much now.

Here's the trailer:

Wow! This looks really promising! And Creepy! And it even has Chucky/Child's Play creator Don Mancini attached to it!

I cannot wait!

It will start airing right on time for this Halloween.

#Movie NEWS! We're almost getting a new Chucky 7!

Great news for horror fans!

If like me you adored Curse of Chucky, but were kinda let down or confused by the various ending epilogues (so Nica's just gonna end in an asylum now? what happened with the little girl Alice in the end? was that her grandma awakening in the end? what about Andy???) - well, GOOD NEWS, everybody!

Don Mancini, Chucky's creator, just wrote on twitter:

It doesn't confirm the film but it seems it might have been greenlighted behind the scenes, or at least worked on.

Awesome!

Can't wait!

I'll take more episodes of this continuation than a remake any day. Did you know Mancini's probably the last horror creator still working on his own franchise at the moment? All the others have been either taken through several studios/different crews/remades/or rebooted!!

#Movie NEWS! Child's Play 6: Curse of Chucky

There's a new Chuck film coming up? Why didn't anyone tell me??

Curse Of Chucky will be released on October 8 this year, after so many years and rumors since the last film back in 2004.

It will be once again directed by its creator, Don Mancini.

The story will be a direct sequel to Child's Play 3 and therefore a prequel to Bride. Brad Dourif  will also reprise his role as Charles Lee Ray's voice. And film is a return to the R-Rated roots.

And here's the trailer:

Personally I would take this over a big budget Hollywood reboot anyday! It's still being made by the same folks being the series, simply because they love Chucky and wanted to make another one. I won't be making much money I'm sure, but it's just for the love of it and for the fans. Unlike a remake which would have nothing to do with the original crew and be a simple copy/paste by uncreative people. (just look at the new Nightmare on Elm Street--)

It's coming directly on home releases this October after hitting a few specific theaters & festivals along the way.

MR:Quickies Chucky series

Okay, so Halloween may be over, but it doesn't mean I'm not gonna review any more Horror themed movies or comics! :P

Today, a personal fav of mine, the Chucky/Child's Play movie series!
