The FNAF2 movie is looking pretty good so far. An improvement on the first one? Heck, it took them less time to get the production rolling! Also loving how more darker this seems to be this time around.

And like his last film, it seems like he's reached out into a whole other genre (in this case a body switch comedy) to make a fun twisted horror film. You know what? I'm in. 

 

I love his two previous films. I'm in. This seems fun!

#HorrorNEWS Halloween Kills - Teaser (In Theaters October 2021)

Film productions were hit hard during the Covid confinement situation. I should know, it's been a worldwide situation and we've seen most if not all productions over here locally put a stop and indefinitively delayed as well.

Anyways,
Universal announced that Halloween Kills, the sequel to Halloween 2018, has been delayed a year from October 16, 2020 to October 15, 2021. Which in turns delayed the third and final episodes, Halloween Ends, bumped back for another year as well to October 14, 2022.

Anyways, to help us wait for these releases, they released this small teaser clip:



Can't wait! Hopefully it somehow mirrors the original Halloween 2, the hospital episode....!

Remember Universal's grand plans for a Dark Universe?

Ah. Good times. Good times indeed.

Well, they were pretty far in their production when they scrapped it all, so we still have the 3rd.. or 2nd film is it? (Do we count Dracula Untold? Part of me would say yes, since they reshot and added that whole modern-day epilogue..) Anyways one last non-Dark Universe Dark Universe Universal Monsters reboot arriving on the big screen soon.

It's a tale as old as time, in fact it's The Invisible Man! Here's the twist this time, it's gonna be more grounded. More scienc-y. Modern-day. With an horror take on The Invisible Man, science gone wrong, Invisible guy turns bad, creepy, stalkery and murdery....

...so Hollow Man?

Anyways, here is the trailer:



Looks about what you'd expect from a modern generic Inivisble Man remake.

To cut down losses after the flob of The Mummy Universal had Blumhouse Productions produce this film and do any rewrites/edits as they wanted to cut down costs.

I feel like this whole Dark Universe Universal Monsters reboot super-franchise concept would have had more chance to be decent by being allowed to actually being horror films AND setting them in their original time period of the 1930s-40s instead...

#SDCC2019 news Halloween Announcement

While everyone was expecting a sequel after the success of the soft-reboot we recently got, Blumhouse didn't announce ONE but TWO new Halloween films for, well, the next two halloweens!

Halloween Kills is set to be released on October 16th, 2020, while Halloween Ends is slated for October 15, 2021.

Which will all make a little trilogy of this new reboot Halloween films. Jamie Lee Curtis has already been confirmed to return in these new films as Laurie Strode.

Aw man, the trailer for Jordan Peele´s new original horror film, Us, is out!

It sounds pretty creepy, I love the odd premise, Jordan Peele writing and directing another stellar horror film and add to that the always-lovely Lupita Nyong'o (an award-winning actress doing genre films, thank you Black Panther!) - it all sounds pretty great so far:



And so far it looks amazingly suspenseful. Like a great Channel Zero season, I want to say. I got to say, I really dig the vibe and atmosphere of this trailer so far...! I CAN'T WAIT!!

#HorrorNEWS Happy Death Day 2U Trailer #1 (2019) | Movieclips Trailers

I actually really enjoyed Blumhouse's previous time loop/slasher horror comedy film Happy Death Day. It was pretty fun in a Groundhouse Day-kind of way, with enough slasher tropes and time travel shenanigans to feel fresh and original.

So naturally I was really expecting the long-rumored direct sequel that will go BTTF Part 2 on the original.

Enters Happy Death Day 2U!

Check out the first trailer for the new film, although be sure to watch the original or this is gonna be really confusing pretty quick:



The film is scheduled to be released on February 14, 2019.
