#Gaming NEWS! Resident Evil 0 - Prototype to HD Remaster

I think I forgot to talk about this...?

So lemme get this straight - the only way Capcom found to sell this upcoming Resident Evil 0 HD Remaster was by comparing it to the unreleased Nintendo 64 prototype?

I guess that goes to show how little the game was upgraded from the original GameCube game, I think I'll stick with it thank you, but no thank you Capcom.

Sure the visual upgrade looks impressive put that way, next to the 64 prototype!! But it's just a slight HD revamp. Even the HD port of the REmake had more work put into it what with Capcom remaking the 3D backgrounds for most of the mansion scenes. Lazy Capcom, lazy...

Back when they completely redid RE1 from scratch for the REmake on the Gamecube, now that was impressive! (And people still believe Capcom could remake RE2 or 3.. sigh..)

This RE0 remaster will be out on PC and consoles early next year.

VGR Beyond Good and Evil

Having replayed through Beyond Good and Evil recently, here's the review I wanted to do but never did until now!

Science-fiction, adventurous reporters, interplanetary alien invasion and conspiracies await you in the world of Hillys!

#DeletedScenes - Dead Phoenix

Around 2005 Capcom made a deal with Nintendo. They were supposed to make 5 exclusive titles, throwbacks to the original 8-bit Capcom/Nintendo days.

Aimed specially at hardcore gamers, the idea was to develop several old school long & difficult arcade-style games for the Nintendo Gamecube.

Thus was born the Capcom 5 project.

Chief amongst those was Resident Evil 4, quickly followed by P.N.03, Killer7 and Viewtiful Joe

What about the 5th and final game?

Called Dead Phoenix, it was a rail shooter pretty similar to Sega's Panzer Dragoon series.

#Cinematic - Mario Golf: Toadstool Tour Intro

Here's something different.
It's the cinematic intro opening to Mario Golf: Toadstool Tour.

Why do I find it blog-post worthy? Because it mostly features Wario and Waluigi prominently.
And since it seems we're aren't getting closer to ever have an actual Waluigi game (or a game by Miyamoto starring Waluigi in it - does he really hate the character?!) and Waluigi only appears in sports/party games, let the man shine in this little funny intro video!

Fantastic animation!
And pretty funny.

Your time will come Waluigi...someday.. (in the meantime, enjoy his various fanarts over the interwebs or his non-official fangames for now)

VGR PoP: Two Thrones

Taking directly after the previous PoP Warrior Within, The Two Thrones is the direct sequel and the final chapter in the "Sands of Time" series.

Sure, Ubi decided to ignore a perfectly closed and well rounded series to offer fans more spinoffs/episodes (I blame the fanboys). But was TT a good closing act to a well loved trilogy of modern platforming games?
What's good about it, what's bad about it?
Brand new review, below!

VGR PoP: Warrior Within

Finally!
I decided to continue my on-going reviews of the PoP series.

In the past, the second episode of the classic trilogy wasn't near as good as the original. How did this second episode of the second trilogy far off?

VGR PoP: The Sands of Time

I've actually already reviewed the original Prince of Persia trilogy.
Prince of Persia, The Shadow and the Flame and Arabian Nights.
I guess it was finally time I decide to move on the Sands of Time trilogy.

For most (younger) players, it was their first introduction to the PoP series, for me I was decided to not like this usurper. Brought to mainstream audience by Ubisoft of all the teams? (it was long before they became that huge blockbuster developer known for excellent titles such as Assassin's Creed and the likes nowadays)

So.... verdict?

VGR Resident Evil 4

Okay guys (and gals)...
This is it...
Episode 4.
This is the review people will probably disagree with me on...

Resident Evil 4 is a very well received game, everybody loves it, it even did receive some awards!
It "reinvented" the franchise, but is it true to its roots?
This game marked the big jump for this popular Capcom series in term of RE's plot, gameplay and feel.

I, for one, like to give any game its fair chances, and I'm not completly against changes and the evolution of a gaming series. As long as it follows the series' spirits and don't spit on the face of older fans who helped build the franchise's reputation and were there since the beginning...

Prepare for a very long, in-depth, review!

VGR Resident Evil ZERO

And with this Resident Evil episode, we're off the ones on Sega systems, onto the "modern" RE series (which can be seen with the new logo; the old one was red and written in capital letters) and the more serious/less cheesy ones!

Is it any good? Is it a good RE or just a good game?
Find out this and more in this new VGR!
