#CartoonNEWS ThunderCats Roar | official Announcement trailer (2019)
Suddenly... a random announcement from Cartoon Network.
So there's an upcoming new ThunderCats coming up, ThunderCats Roar. Yeah, I know. Pretty random, right?
And despite a lot hate already aimed at the show, I'm honestly just glad to see a new ThunderCats show coming up and people talking about this series. Let's be honest, nobody watched the previous 2011 reboot - which was easily one of my all-time favorite series despite the cancellation and unresolved cliffhanger. But ThunderCats' never been high quality, let's be honest. The original was a fun cheesy glorified toy commercial with good designs. The 2011 was a great modern reimagining, but also had a lot of shortcomings. And the best version of ThunderCats we ever got were the DC Comics, huh, comics. Adding some dimension to the characters, aging them up, and with updated designs and art style. That's the best version of ThunderCats we'll ever get to be frank.
And this... this one.. let me watch a few episodes first. It's as you'd expect from most current CN shows aimed at kids, simplified art style and animation, and with more humor than action, no doubt. But I dig the silly indie comics vibe I got from the announcement:
With all the talks I've seen about this new ThunderCats, it's easily the most I've seen people ever talk about this series in decades!
Can be fun. I would love if they kept the same art style but added a bit more details into it...
The show will air next year.

Wow! This is great stuff from the D23 Expo:
Color me hyped!
Also, is it me or did Tom Holland get the most applauses? Guess this is official the audience welcoming the new generation.

#MovieNEWS The Mummy Sneak Peek: First Look at Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde
The Universal Monster Universe (the Monsterverse?) has had a rough start so far...
But after the badass trailer I saw right before Alien: Convenant, I wanna give this film a fighting chance.
There's a new sneak peek, showing how Russell Crowe will play a running character through various of these films as Dr. Jekyll. Check it out:
Alright. I love this cast. Tom Cruise is always fun, and for some reason I already adore Sofia Boutella as The Mummy. Let's see if this new Mummy turns out okay, June 9.

#DeletedScenes Maverick Hunter: The Mega Man X FPS
While Capcom pretty much ignores the Mega Man/Rockman license these days - even more so since Mega Man creator Keiji Inafune's departure - the series has been known to evolve and shake things up from time to time to stay relevant over the years/decades. Heck, personally I prefer the classic series, but the 16-bit Mega Man X series and the early 3D titles Mega Man Legends have even much more fans than the originals!
But did you know Capcom almost made a Mega Man "Act Zero"? Like, attempt to reimaging the blue bomber in a much darker grittier more-adult setting?? Crazy, right?!

#DCNews the next animated film: Batman and Harley Quinn!
While DC direct-to-video animated films have been getting more and more serious, and darker, this upcoming film Batman and Harley Quinn seems to be a return to fun light-hearted adventures.
Plus it's a great throwback to Batman: The Animated Series! With Kevin Conroy and Loren Lester back as Batman and Nightwing respectively! Only we get a brand new Harley Quinn in the form of Melissa Rauch.
Check out this little featurette which will be included on the Teen Titans: Judas Contract home release:

#MakingOf Shin Godzilla
Here's a surprisingly interesting look at the behind the scenes of Hideaki's Anno's Shin Godzilla (aka Godzilla Resurgence):
I really dig the creepy tone closer to the original Godzilla '54 the film is going for. And all that is CGi?? Could have fooled me, it looks like actual costumes and miniature props!!
And yes, that's some Evangelion music. Which is in the actual Shin Godzilla film! Of course Anno's just using this film as test footage for his eventual live action Evangelion film!

#Movie NEWS! Ghosbusters - Kevin Administrative Professionals Day Featurette
There's a new Ghosbusters behind-the-scenes video showcasing Chris Hemsworth's character in the reboot/remake:
Actually, I'm starting to think this kind of looks good now. Moreso than my first impression with the trailer, I like how this spotlighted the cast simply interacting with each other. Hemsworth's character duesn't feel like simply a male version of Janine to me, but more like a mix of Janine, Dana Barrett and Louis Tully into one.
In a way, this is as close as we're getting to finally having Thor use his old Donald Blake alter-ego from the comics, in a way!

#DeletedScene - #BestOf Predator 2 - PREDATOR DANCING blooper reel
I'd like to believe this is the best "deleted scene" in movie history, ever:
Citizen Kane can only beat this if Kane himself started dancing with his sled at the end of the film, as the credits roll out...

#Behindthescenes - Wander Over Yonder - Rough Cut + interview
Speaking of cartoons, here's a few fun behind the scenes look from my new current favorite cartoon - Wander Over Yonder!
First up is a fun look comparison between the original opening scene animatics and the final product:
Next up is a way too short-interview with our two main voice actors:
It's like Jack McBrayer was "designed" to be animated (yep, not the other way around)!

#Gaming NEWS! Resident Evil 0 - Prototype to HD Remaster
I think I forgot to talk about this...?
So lemme get this straight - the only way Capcom found to sell this upcoming Resident Evil 0 HD Remaster was by comparing it to the unreleased Nintendo 64 prototype?
I guess that goes to show how little the game was upgraded from the original GameCube game, I think I'll stick with it thank you, but no thank you Capcom.
Sure the visual upgrade looks impressive put that way, next to the 64 prototype!! But it's just a slight HD revamp. Even the HD port of the REmake had more work put into it what with Capcom remaking the 3D backgrounds for most of the mansion scenes. Lazy Capcom, lazy...
Back when they completely redid RE1 from scratch for the REmake on the Gamecube, now that was impressive! (And people still believe Capcom could remake RE2 or 3.. sigh..)
This RE0 remaster will be out on PC and consoles early next year.
