Aside from whatever you might think, I kinda like Velma's (and only Velma's) design. Bring in the fanart, peeps!

Honestly the actual only complaint I have about all this is... there's no Scooby-Doo! Why make a Scooby-Doo show without Scooby-Doo? This could have been easily tweaked into any other vintage teen team mystery solvers, like for example "The Archies"!

A bunch of classic Hanna-Barbera cartoons are being revamped in a new (crossover) show - Jellystone! 

I can hear the "CallArts style" detractor from miles away...

Let's just say, it doesn't look anything like classic Hanna-Barbera on-model stuff. For me? It just looks a bit too random "Teen Titans Go!"-esque, with references and all.

Taking place sometime after the finale of the show, and starring this time Marceline and PB. Check out the first official trailer:

Looking neat! More Marceline! More post-finale PB with her new powers. And a brand new kingdom. And a stand-in for Finn, it seems, in that Glassboy character.

#CartoonNEWS Adventure Time is coming back in 2020!

This end of October have come out with some of the best news of the year - to me personally.

I have been watching less and less serialized content (shows and series..). All my favs are coming to an end or already did. And then suddenly..

Adventure Time is coming back in 2020!

While all details have not been made clear so far, like if Pendleton Ward is actually back behind the scenes as well, with talent like Rebecca Sugar on the storyboards/music, etc.

All we know so far is that it's titled Adventure Time: Distant Lands. It is going to be a series of 4 one-hour specials. And they will be released not on Cartoon Network but on HBO Max, starting in 2020 for the first two specials!

It reminds me of the way Futurama was revived through 4 specials on Comedy Central, back in the day.

And we already have brief synopsis for these 4 specials:

• The first episode, BMO, centers around Finn and Jake’s trusted robot/video game console/VCR/etc. and best friend as they embark on a dangerous mission into the farthest reaches of space. 
• That’s followed by Obsidian, which features Marceline and Princess Bubblegum as they head to the Glass Kingdom to stop a disaster...and confront their past. 
• Wizard City looks to be an origin story about Peppermint Butler, everybody’s favorite dark sorcerer, starting with his time as a young, inexperienced student at Wizard School. 
• Finally, there’s Together Again, which will reunite Finn and Jake and send them on “the most important adventure of their lives.” 

I can only safely say.. I CANNOT WAIT FOR THIS!! Moar Adventure Time is always a plus! And I gotta admit I wanted more than just the Boom comics. It's gonna be great to have this universe back.

So far, as of today, only Marceline's VA has been confirmed, but I doubt they'll change any of the main cast. (Not so sure for secondary and background characters though..) And most of the crew behind the show's last two season, animators and writers, have been confirmed to return, with Pen Ward's second in command Adam Muto in charge of the overall project.

Come on grab your friends, we'll go to very distant lands!

Not sure how I feel about this. Specially since it seems all so far off the original Gibbons & Moore comic book series...

It seems completely missing the point of the comic, even more so than Zack Snyder's film. Like the Rorschach cult might be taking things too far...

But fear not, this will actually be a weird continuation/modern-day reimagining of Alan Moore and Dave Gibbons iconic graphic novel, set 10 years after the original story.
