Here's the most memorable villain from the Batmanga adapted into the DCU in Grant Morrison's Batman Inc. series:

ComicPageOfTheWeekend: Flex Mentallo

Flex Mentallo from Grant Morrison's Doom Patrol was a fun parody/tribute to those old Charles Atlas ads. Here's his "origin" page:

#DC News! Son of Batman movie

And here's a trailer of the upcoming DC movie right after Justice League: War, the non-New 52-inspired one Son of Batman.

It's based on the 2006 Grant Morrison classic series which saw the introduction of the then-new Robin, Damian!

Check this out:

Looks pretty good!

Handled by most of the folks behind the short lived Young Justice cartoon, hence the look and tone here (almost seems like a continuation of it, from a Bat-perspective). But another Bat-centric animated film, really?

#Cartoon NEWS! A point regarding upcoming DC animated films

With the San Diego Comic Con running at the moment in the US, there's been plenty news regarding DC Comics I wanted to post.

And more precisely regarding their animated film features.

First up, coming up this July 30 is Justice League The Flashpoint Paradox, which has been receiving a pretty good reception from fans and newcomers alike.

It sounds like a pretty good take on this "alternate universe"/Elseworld-like self-contained story.

Next up we will have Justice League: War!

What's with all these *names* : *word* titles lately!?

It will see yet another Joss Whedon regular, Alan Tudyk in the role of...Superman!!!

It will mark the first New 52 adaptation (that's WHY they adapted Flashpoint?!), being based on Geoff Johns and Jim Lee's first arc for the new Justice League. It's aiming for an Early 2014 release date. Wait and see...

Next summer in 2014 we will have Son of Batman.

Apparently an adaption of fan favorite Grant Morrison's "Batman and Son" storyline with a notch of "Batman and Robin" to see Damian Wayne act as Robin for a bit. (I'm also hoping for some Dick Grayson as Batman personally...)

It is aimed for Batman's 75th anniversary next year. So expect lots more Bat-related stuff from DC and Warner. Speaking of which...

... We will also get Batman: Assault on Arkham. Yes. It will be based on the Arkham game series!

Right on time for the Arkham Origins game, for Fall 2014.

The question is will it be fully animated or CGi rendered by the guys behind the game's cutscenes??

At least it will see the return of the entire cast from Arkham Asylum/City as well as Bruce Timm and Paul Dini.

My problem with this one being... they probably axed another great project to redirect some budget on this one. Main rumors being the Aquaman animated film was cut for this.

And that is all for DC/Warner Bros upcoming animated films!

ComicPageOfTheWeekend: Grant Morrison's Animal Man

Okay, not a proper comic page per say.
But I really wanted to share this neat drawing of Animal Man by Grant Morrison himself!

The guy can even draw nicely I must say!

CBR Animal Man 3: Deus Ex Machina

And finally, time for the third and final book of Grant Morrison's Animal Man!
It's all coming down to this conclusion, what is going to happen to Buddy? What are the strange shadows lurking around that he's been seeing since the beginning of the story? And what is beyond the gutters of these panels?!

Don't miss out my previous Animal Man-related reviews!

CBR Grant Morrison's Animal Man

Time for another comic book review!

This time, it's Animal Man's turn!
We already saw him before, I mentioned his storyline in an Adam Strange comics recently.

Let's see the comic that put this underdog superhero back on the map, in....
