#GamingNEWS Deadly Premonition 2 - Nintendo Direct 9.4.2019 - Nintendo Switch

And the best news to have come out this last Nintendo direct is....

Deadly Premonition 2!

That's right, Zack! Everyone's favorite Twin Peaks-inspired horror game is back!

Swery is back with a game that will allow us some closure as well as some flashbacks, between past and future, York and Zack. Here's the preview:

The true sequel to Deadly Premonition is coming to the Switch in 2020. And if you want to be brought up to speed, the original game is also coming under the title Deadly Premonition Origins, to get ready for the sequel.

Switch in the coffee... what does that mean, Zack?

#AprilFoolsDay - #SWERY teases a D5

Not cool, SWERY!

SWERY teased a fake sequel to D4 on the official website, which crosses over with one my all-time favorites Deadly Premonition!

And yes, that's just a joke.

"D5: Dark Dreams Don't Die with Deadly Premonition"!

Sigh...

I would actually totally love to see this for real... Come on, SWERY! DO IT! You know you want to!!

TLC - My Most Memorable Past VideoGame Experiences!

With a new generation of video game consoles looming over, I thought now was the best time to look back at the previous gaming generations!

Time for another TLC blog post for the occasion!

#Gaming NEWS! Deadly Premonition?....

Someone from SWERY's team said this recently:
Suehiro told the PlayStation Blog that he’s “in discussion” with co-creator Tomio Kanazawa about the future of Deadly Premonition.
“It may not be Deadly Premonition 2 but it’s definitely going to be something,” he said.
“At the moment we’re talking about how it might be interesting to set the game in Europe.”
Kanazawa said that like the first Deadly Premonition the follow-up will have a rural setting.
“Hitchin, for example. I’ve lived in Hitchin for many years as I’ve been working with Rising Star Games. When I first started living there, there was no entertainment – I could find nothing. But I have come to love it over time – so I recommended it to Swery,” he said.
Suehiro also told the site that apart from Deadly Premonition, he’d like to make something episodic.
“Like a TV series, where each instalment is unique and interesting and makes you want to play the next one,” he said.
“It could be affordable for players, but would make them want to play more. Something like that.”
Asked whether he meant something like Telltale’s The Walking Dead series, Suehiro agreed.
“Yes. I liked it because it gave players choices – often ethical choices. I like that aspect in games,” he said. - Source.
Just look at the many pics SWERY's taken on his recent trip around Europe on his twitter!

I love Deadly Premonition and SWERY.
The GAME IS JUST THAT AWESOME!!

So I'll be definitively keeping an eye on it...

#Gaming NEWS! Deadly Premonition redux

Here's a pretty unique awesome interview from SWERY on GiantBomb I thought it would be nice to share over here - for the upcoming release of Deadly Premonition: The Director's Cut.

BEST. INTERVIEW. Ever produced!
Ain't that right, Zack? It reminds me of... that's right, that's awesome game that was released a few years ago. And did you know that... that's right again. It's going to be re-released. I cannot wait for it. Ho, you too Zack?
Let's have some more coffee.

#Gaming NEWS! Deadly Premonition Director’s Cut is Happening!!

It seems that the re-released of my favorite game this generation is actually happening!

Deadly Premonition: Director’s Cut has been officially confirmed and announced!
So if you haven't tried it yet, now's the time.

This updated version of the game will be exclusive to PS3 (sigh-).
And for now it has only been announced for PS3 in the Pal and NTSC region - where the original hadn't been released.
But it will be much more than a simple fix for those unreleased spots. The game is said to now includes new scenarios, reworked combat controls, and be downloadable content-enabled to “expand the mystery beyond the original game.”
Thus the "director's cut" in the title!

If you ask me..
This director's cut should threw out all the "zombies" you fight in the game.
I mean, Swery already confirmed the editor forced those and he only was going to make a detective/Twin Peaks-y game originally, not a "generic survival horror". (which the zombie parts makes this game looks like)

#MarioPAINT - Life is Beautiful

Here's a pretty fun Mario PAINT interpretation of Deadly Premonition's "Life is Beautiful" theme song I found.
Worth checking out!

Always love the way some fans are able to play with and recreate famous tunes with Mario Paint... 'reminds me I should track down a copy of this "game"~

#Music BOX - Deadly Premonition Fancover: The Orchestra is Beautiful

Time for the Deadly Premonition post of the day~

It's yet another fan cover. This one's more orchestral. And kinda reminiscent of the overworld theme from Zelda on the Snes (I think, or was it the "dark overworld" theme I'm thinking about..."

AwesomeScenes from Deadly Premonition - FK In The Coffee

For those who didn't get it.
When I (and most people) say Deadly Premonition is very Twin Peaks-y, it is quite literal.
Here's an awesome typical scene from the game.

For those who can sit through all of this jump to this scene directly!

I miss you, York!
Almost makes me wanna replay it all over again (which is rather unusual for me, when it involves an open world sandbox-type game...)

Deadly Premonition - 8-Bits FBI Special Agent Morgan - C64 style

Here's one more!

Did you like the previous song?
Well, one more, how could this go wrong?

Let's all enjoy this and sing along.
And Mister Francis York Morgan, grow a beard, it won't take long!
So says Mr. Stewart!!

So..Zack? Wanna listen to this music again?

Blog - Deadly Premonition: The Card Game

Here's something random!
Something Deadly Premonition-y~

A very dedicated fan actually made the cards found in the video game Deadly Premonition in real life!
And they look amazing, don't you think Zack?

Whitney realized this amazing work all by herself.

What is even more impressive is how accurate and outstanding this whole project looks like!
It's like the actual in-game game coming to life!
65 collectible trading cards, recto-verso!

The fonts, the pictures, everything, is so detailed and perfect!
The fun part is how the in-game cards in Deadly Premonition were actually based on real life Twin Peaks cards (from which the game draws a lot of inspiration and references):

And now fiction has imitated real life with these actual cards!

She is planning to give a set for SWERY65 himself. (and said to keep our eyes open for an eventual contest~)

Go check out her own website, and give her a thumbs up! She truly deserves it!
I would, oh, so love one of these decks of cards! So says Mr. Stuart.

Deadly Premonition - 8-Bits "Whistle Tune - C64 style"

Here's a wonderful 8-bits style take on the fantastic Whistle Tune from, yes, Deadly Premonition!
That's right, Zack!

Music by Orthogonalus

Do you hear this Zack?
That's right again.
The symphony of the tune, the melody. It does reminds me of the good old retro era of video gaming. And you know what Zack?
Exactly! The chiptunes are quite lovely, who said you needed a big orchestra to pull out memorable music you would keep listening to? Not me.

Would you take another cup of coffee Zack?
