Here's a brand new game for the SMS! Using the all-new engineered KiddEd Alex Kidd engine!

 

 

The game is suuuuper fun, I love the visuals and the physics.

 

Great stuff! My fav game of 2021 is an 8-bit new SMS title. Hahaha!

#Blog Alex Kidd DX - 30 years in the making!

Continuing this year's 60th Anniversary Celebration of Sega, what better than to have another Sonic game a new Alex Kidd game!

 

And what a game it is!

 

Part remake of the original game. Part Director's Cut/DX retake on the game to expand it. Part sequel with the additional levels.

 

I finally received this week this sublime Signature Edition with a ton of goodies:

The Kidd is back!

This year wasn't #GOSEGA enough for me. (Sure, we're still waiting for a new Sonic announcement as well, but..) All we were missing is the return of Alex Kidd! Aside from a couple of cameos I'm not even counting, we didn't had a new Alex Kidd game since.. 1990!! (Shinobi World)

This expanded remake, which will allow to use retro visuals as well as additional expansive stages from the base original levels looks GREAT!! And it started as a "simple" fanmade enhancement.. so in a way, think of it as Alex Kidd Mania:

I can't wait!!! Look at how nice it looks! I loved the reimagined jankenpo-sequences!

Alex Kidd in Miracle World DX is expected for this summer! And you can already pre-order it at signatureeditiongames.

He's back! And I couldn't be happier!

The long forgotten Sega mascot...

...is back!

With an enhanced remake of his classic adventure!

I'm loving this revival of classic SEGA IPs! Wonder Boy/Monster World got several new titles. Streets of Rage is back.

And now Alex Kidd in Miracle World DX is looking pretty good too. Modern visuels, possibility to play a retro mode with the original art of the 8-bit title. In addition to alternate boss fights, a boss rush mode, and even new levels!

Looking pretty sharp! I never guessed in a million times Alex Kidd would even come back! We're living a strange timeline indeed..

Alex Kidd in Miracle World is getting a makeover courtesy of Merge Games and Jankenteam. It will be available on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, and PC early next year.
