Trying to gather a wide variety of art styles and genres I went through this year.

While for some months (mostly, around summer) it was quite difficult to pick something good due to a lack of (good) deviations others were harder to decide what to use above, simply choice-wise (too many things to pick from, I couldn't just make up my mind).

Finally went with variety in characters (and ending the year)

This year marked the launch of my Heroes! blog, which I used to upload either on deviantArt or on this very blog before.

There might not be an Halloween back here,
but that didn't stop me from carving a pumpkin (and cathing an horror flick too - Pumpkinhead on DVD).

HAPPY HALLOWEEN, you guys in the US!
(and other countries that still celebrate this day for some reason!)
(well not "some reason", for $$$, that is marketing purposes)

We tried to bring Halloween and implement it here in Switzerland these last few couple of years, but due to the lack of interest from everyone they decided to officially drop it finally this year...

I hope all you guys are having a great time today, celebration today or not.
(Me? Work work work, hey it's a Monday like any other!)

Gamin' NEWS! Professor Layton vs. Ace Attorney TGS 2011 Trailer

Here's a brand new trailer for "Layton Kyouju VS Gyakuten Saiban", that is Professor Layton vs. Ace Attorney  the crossover game nobody expected, coming up for the 3DS starring Capcom's Phoenix Wright and Level-5's Professor Layton.
It is due for a release date somewhen in 2012 (only in Japan for now).
And it's looking mighty epic:



Though I'd personally wish they'd want 2D instead. Phoenix just doesn't look "right" in 3D, look at his perfectly bi-symmetric hair!

I'm guessing this will be a puzzle heavy adventure game with some text-based adventure crossing over mysteries/quests to resolve.
Both series do mix up pretty well esthetically I think.

Gamin' NEWS! Mario Kart 7

And here's one more trailer of an upcoming Nintendo game.
It's Mario Kart 7, which will be released later this year as well, on Dec. 4 on the 3DS as well.
(they're finally releasing games for that system?.. why didn't they release the system now instead?!)



And it looks like...much of the same.
Which is great for fans, I guess :P
Meh, my favorite Mario Kart was the SNES one. I played the DS one too for, like, 1 week, then completely forgot about it...
Don't mistake me, it is a good looking and fun game. But simply not for me..

It's time for yet another video game update blog post!
This time featuring Nintendo trailers and some familiar Monkey returning yet once again.

I think I forgot to post this, right?
Anyway, last year the best of E3 easily was Konami press conference.

This year?
Well, I'd vote for Ubisoft press conference as funn(i)est presentation.
It was an important conference for Ubisoft who was presenting its upcoming innovations, new strategic moves, etc.. And also a brand new proper Rayman game, a sidescroller again. Lots of highly anticipated titles.
It marks Ubi's big 25th anniversary.

E3 Gamin' NEWS! Konami goes compilation crazy

At their own press conference, Konami just announced they'l be released lots of compilations soon.

All will be quick HD remakes (not fully remakes, yet HD resolutions, etc..). And all will be made available for both PS3 and Xbox 360.

First up will be the Metal Gear Solid HD Collection.
This "HD collection" will offer Metal Gear Solid 2: Sons of Liberty, Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater and Metal Gear Solid: Peace Walker all on the same compilation. (that last one was a PSP game previously which will now be adapted for home systems).
This will be out in November 2011, wtih all new controls, achievements, new improved audio, etc..

Then, in 2012, a Zone of the Enders HD Collection.
An HD collection containing Zone of the Enders and Zone of the Enders: The 2nd Runner. Which is a good thing for gamers, since those are good mecha games that weren't very well known originally.

And finally, later next year, the SIlent Hill Collection.
Which, as popular and well liked those games are will be the least interesting compilation. It will only contain Silent Hill 2 and 3 "retouched" in HD. No Silent Hill 1, seriously guys??
