#AnimeNEWS Mary and the Witch’s Flower

Studio Ghibli might not be making any new films, but some long-time Ghibli veterans have launched their own animation studio, Studio Ponoc, and they will be releasing their first film next summer: Mary and the Witch’s Flower.

This certainly has a very distinct Ghibli-esque tone and stylistic look. I hope it's good!!

Why is it getting so many haters already?

'looks okay to me.

Is it the simple CGi? I kinda prefer J-Drama-quality special FXs to Hollywood's bland generic dull grey modern effects...

Here's a trailer for the live action Kiki's Delivery Service film!

Based on the same books as the Studio Ghibli film was (were I briefly mentioned the upcoming film in my review), it will follow the first two volumes.

Looks nice in those little seconds, if a bit cheesy.

Sure, it doesn't seem to take much from the anime movie is mostly a new adaptation from scratch. But looks decent.

She could use the red bow in her hair, though...
