#MovieNEWS The Cloverfield Paradox is out!!!! What!!?!?!

And while nobody expected  it, J.J.Abrams and his Bad Robot production just randomly released the next third Cloverfield movie on Netflix!!!

What!?!?!

The film had been teased for a while, not to such an extend as the past two films. But they still stealthy launched the "augmented reality game" on social media and whatnot. I've only seen a couple videos on it on youtube.

And then a Superbowl teaser announced its released right away on Netflix the next day - today.

What!!!!

So we now know the long-awaited Paramount scifi film God Particle about people trapped in space during an alien invasion ended up now called The Cloverfield Paradox!

Major Hollywood studios are pretty hesitant to put smaller budget flicks on the big screen, nowadays. Specialyl in the middle of all these big loud superhero popcorn flicks. And since Paramount and Netflx worked out such a great similar deal with the Natalie Portman scifi film Annihilation recently, they decided to do the same. This is a $40 million-budget "little scifi film". And from the looks of it they already made it immetiatley profitable since they randomly unveiled it on Netflix earlier!!

Word of mouth works great with these mysterybox-type Abrams films.

Actually, I can't wait to check this out, personally.

But enough talk, here's the trailer for now:

This one was directed by Julius Onah. And it stars the always great Elizabeth Debicki, Daniel Bruhl, Gugu Mbatha Raw, Chris O’Dowd, Ziyi Zhang and David Oyelowo.

It's funny to thing 10 CLOVERFIELD LANE was announced 2 months before its release date. THE CLOVERFIELD PARADOX was revealed just 4 hours before its release. Since they already said CLOVERFIELD 4 has finishing its production, we might expect an even stealthier and faster release for it??

I can't wait to see people dissect this film apart. What if the biggest twist and mystery box was that these films have all been in the Lost universe and part of the Dharma conspiracy??

#Recap - 10 Cloverfield Lane

Alright, I finally got to watch 10 Cloverfield Lane this weekend. And.. wow!

Without spoilers, all I can say is that this movie was everything I hoped for. And then some. Surprising for a movie that was just revealed and announced not long ago, if only they could keep surprises like this more often...

It was captivating, it was thrilling. There were some great tension and atmosphere building, and even scares!

And the finale was as fun as I wished it to be.

So all in all, go watch it. It was a blast! With Deadpool and Hateful 8, that makes some terrific and great films to kick off the year.

Now if you wanna go into spoilers, and that's the only way to discuss a film like this, then read ahead, otherwise pass your path.

#Movie NEWS! SUPERBOWL Edition!

For a lot of people, the Superbowl means sports. For me and a ton of others around the world it simply means a lot of great ads and exclusive movie trailers.

So sit down, don't bother getting there and enjoy the videos with youtube (and my blog!).

#Kaiju NEWS! Cloverfield 2!?!

JJ Abrams and his sneaky crew at Bad Robot apparently tagged a teaser trailer for an upcoming surprise project in front of Michael Bay's new film.

Why am I even saying secret? It's titled 10 Cloverfield Lane! So it must be a Cloverfield sequel, finally! But with Abrams and his whole "mystery box" gimmick and let's not forget his "it's not Khan, it's John Harrison"-thing... You never know. It could as well be a sequel to Super 8 really. Or simply a brand new story!

Here's the trailer that got leaked on the internet, watch it while you can:
[edited out for better quality below]
So what do you think?

And even more, it's apparently already coming out to theaters on March 11, 2016!!

Edit: Wow! That was fast! We already have a lot more details and a comment from Abrams himself!

Paramount even released the trailer properly on youtube now:

Apparently it's not quite officially a Cloverfield sequel. This 10 Cloverfield Lane was originally codenamed Valencia.. which doesn't say much to be honest. The film is directed by Dan Trachtenberg (Portal: No Escape) and seems to star John Goodman, Mary Elizabeth Winstead and John Gallagher Jr.  Abrams already said:
“The idea came up a long time ago during production. We wanted to make it a blood relative of Cloverfield,” Abrams told Collider. “The idea was developed over time. We wanted to hold back the title for as long as possible.”
The title appears to hint that it will mostly entirely take place inside a single house actually. The Cloverfield title of the originally film was actually inspired by an exit people at Bad Robot used to take in their HQs in Santa Monica, CA.

So what do you think the film will be about? Some chemical attack, or another (familiar?) giant monster? All we can say for certain is that the film won't be found footage anymore.
